This doesnt look like much of a "live" set to me.
Does this make them any worse or better?
What role do the DJs play at a live venue, especially newer DJs that use mainly computer software?

Fucking rubbish IMHO... I quite like their tunes but if you're advertising "live" people expect live not mimed/faked. You wouldn't catch Ashlee Simpson or Milli Vanilli doing that shit!
saw this the other day. apparently the usb cable came out for a second or something and he didn't realize right away.
regardless, their 'live' set consists of manipulating loops in ableton. not much different from daft's live set, but this live business is silly overall imo. just play a proper dj set. far more fun.
