My Name Is Bruce

Have this sitting on my hard drive might give it a spin tonight. Anyone else check it out yet just watched the trailer and it didn't make it look to good.

If you're wondering that, you prob wont like it. Its bruce Campbell, legend!

Watched it a couple of days ago.

It's good...sort of. Campbell is at his best when the script is strong and his campy over-the-top delivery adds the punch to those cutting remarks. He's brilliant at that. Only problem is that the script doesn't really deliver the lines for him to camp up, and the situations are set-ups that force him to try and over deliver on his character.

And there's no gore. Lots of heads chopped off, but no squirting gallons of blood and no bodies sliced in half for the pig entrails to be strewn about liberally.

Still, if you watch really hard...and I mean really hard...there are a couple of gems to pick out. One, for example, is a close-up on a face with the line "Can it get any worse?!!?"...and, if you're switched on, you know it's an in-joke about the movie/plot itself rather than just the dire situation that exists for the characters.

(Massive tits on the lead chick...difficult to take your eyes off them....and also difficult to not think of John Candy/Uncle Buck in the principal's office when you see the mole/growth on her face... )
