I predict Daredevil will be a complete and utter failure at the box office. Just wanted to say it now before it actually happens.

EDIT: Not too shabby of an opening weekend, eh?

Daredevil will probably flop. Some aspects of it tell me it will be a good movie. But i think the con's far outweigh the pro's and all i can think of is this movie will fail.

Like wise with T3, Dumb & Dumber 2, Tomb Raider 2 etc.

Oh and American Pie 3? Puhleeeze, the 2nd one was bad enough. There is SO no need for a 3rd.

2003 is gonna be an awful year for movies i think. Far too many sequels and cash-in's.

One time, my cousin Walter got this cat stuck in his ass. True story. He bought it at our local mall so the whole fiasco wound up on the news, it was embarrassing for my relatives and all, but the next week he did it again, different cat, same results, complete with another trip to the emergency room! So I run into him a week later in the mall and he’s buying another cat and I says to ‘em "Jesus Walt, what are you doing? Only reason i hate daredevil is because Ben afflek was going to do jersey girl in april but because he got signed for daredevil jersey girl was pushed back. If it was filmed then there might of been no j. lo which would of been so kool.

I think Daredevil may be a good movie, but it will flop at the box office. The reason for this is because the filmakers are aiming for an R-Rating, and because of the rating it will lose a lot of its audience (kids under 17 who go to the movies without their parents). Thats just my 2 cents.

since spiderman, production has begun for just about every comic book character there is. Hulk, Daredevil, theres a bunch more that are being filmed as we speak. someone figured out that's the way to make money in hollywood.

i think Daredevil will do very well in the box office, and it will be a very good movie. but the many others that will follow will do worse and worse until someone finds another way to make money from filming shitty movies.

daredevil will do shit awesome at the box office, the movie is based off of what i'm hearing is the best story in the daredevil series. plus it's got some good actors, and awesome special effects, the fact that you think it'll flop at the box office dumbfounds me, because you truly have to basis, you have your opinion, which doesn't mean it'll flop

daredevil, t3, and bad boys 2, will do huge money... 150mil+

I have to agree with Darkslide. DareDevil was one of the best comic book characters and they are going to get a huge audience from that alone. Also, with T3, I don't think it will be very good, sequel and all, but people that liked T1 and T2 will see it, which is a vast number. Star Wars Episode 2 Sucked, it got shit reviews, but they made millions too. Also, Star Wars 3 will most likely do the same thing. As for Bad Boys 2, I dunno, i don't think, as with a lot of those types of movies, it will do great. They just limit their audience too much with those movies.

Dumb and Dumberer... It will do moderately ok, not nearly as good as big movies becuase of its lack of original actors. It will be funny, but Dumb and Dumber will always own it.

A movie doesn't have to be great or even good to do well, as long as it's decent and has a good amount of hype, (ie: Spider-Man.) With that, DareDevil has a good chance of doing 100+ million if the advertising is right.

lets get serious.... daredevil isn't going to "flop".... i wouldn't mind seeing it- as the cominc books were some of the best around. all of the films that will come out in the near future should be at least do decently number-wise. - there haven't been many decent movies in the theaters recently- last movie i saw was TTT. unless you're a big fan of maid in manhattan or crap like that, then it'll be nice to have a few decent movies to go see

i believe it will have an incredible weekend turnout, building off spiderman's comicbook hype. This being regardless of reviews. It may flop critically, but will generate the numbers the box office cares about.

I think daredevil will not flop it's gonna do well. People want to see the whole comic book gone big screen movie. Superman, Batman, X-men, and Spiderman did so well, this movie is going to be right up there.

Right...Well i've now read 14 reviews (Including Moviegods) and yours is the only one i've seen thats had a negative tint. To be honest the reviews i've read have also come from....shall we say... more established reviewers.

I take that review with a pinch of salt. I'm still looking forward to seeing it on Thursday night!

i watched the first half of the movie form the UTi release, and yeah, it's cheesy as hell, but it's just so damn fun because everyone loves superheroes don't they. You just can't say no..

Comic book movie adaptations have been going on for ages. Dick Tracy and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were comic books but did anybody have a problem with them? TMNT & Batman movies kept getting worse and worse yet they kept making them.

Based on what I've seen of Daredevil (trailers & clips, don't wanna see the rest until I see it in theatres) I'll say it'll be a good superhero movie, up there with the first Batman. It might not do well in the theatres but Spider-Man made up for that

I saw 30 mins of this movie and I was a little disappointed. I guess Im going to use spiderman as an example when I watch these comic book movies. But really bad lines and the fire with the double DD...oh boy, I was shaking my head two or three times and I didnt get that far in. I cant make a full judgement yet, but clearly so far to me it is no spiderman...or x-men.

movie is kinda dull- ben afflect licks some serious chode... not an action actor at all. michael clarke duncan is the only reason i enjoyed it (and because that chick is hot - but still an awful actress). duncan didn't fit the role, but he's a beauty anyways. really not an overly interesting movie
to sum up possitive things:
-chick who can't act is hot
-clarke duncan's a beauty
-the soundtrack is very very nice
negative things:
-story licks
-acting/casting truly awful
-just ridiculous in general -- stick with spidey or xmen, maybe even batman!

Number one for this past weekend. You decide if it was a "flop" or not.

I for one downloaded it and have yet to watch it, but will after I move into my new built house next weekend and setup my entertainment system.

I would be pleasantly surprised if either "Gods and Generals" or "The Life of David Gale" knocks it out of the top spot this weekend... but I doubt that will happen. (I hope I'm wrong though.)

Pra3t0 , Daredevil was great. I don't know why you have it in for this movie so bad. This movie was better than Spiderman. The special effects didn't have that fake look like Spidey jumping from building to building. A better story too. Ben Affleck nailed Matt Murdock as the flawed blind superhero. A great love story between Murdock and Elektra. Something tells me she's back in Daredevil 2. For anyone thinking about seeing it. Definitely do so. Watch it in a theater with digital sound too. A great movie!
