how?

how did you guys see a sample or already have the dvd screener? I don't see it on any servers yet. Unless if you guys are distributors or something. If you have not seen the dvd screener yet then please do not post anything about quality, this movie got like 9.x already i think the voting system is messed up a little.

Obus was great to watch the movie but very blocky on larger screens. This will be my keeper until retail for sure.

Sample was crisp with perfect audio.

9/9/10.6+ movie was the slowest movie I ever couldn't stop watchin....loved it.

this is def not the best movie of 2003! Because it doesn't come to cinemas before February 6th here up north

I can't see it on IRC yet, and don't have NG access, but after the rating this movie gets, I think it will be worth it

Yeah dude with the fat pic in his display. Where do youi get your Release information from? Like a server or IRC.?

Posted by Seija on 12-24-2003 06:36 AM:

Ah, finally. Caught this one in theaters in October. Quite an amazing piece of cinema, an easy contender for best picture of the year in my book. The ending to this movie really got to me. Great soundtrack too BTW.

I would have to say the 3 movies up for best picture for me this year would be This, Mystic River, and Return of the King.

Oh, and great DVD source TCF quality as usual.

9/9/9 (or maybe Infinity -1 going by the MRS (Mystic Rating System)

Wow! And I thought the movies credibility stood on legs of brilliant story, cinematography and the talent of Bill Murry. Thanks for showing us what the true meaning of culture is RedOut.

What codec?

Tried to play this in the latest WinDVD AND PowerDVD.
WinDVD shows just a black screen. PowerDVD shows black screen (and green) except on one place on the screen where
a tiny bit of the movie is visible

Please help me, what codec do I need for this one?

Posted by s|ne on 12-28-2003 03:20 AM:

ahhhh this release is sweet, and this film rocks
one of my favourites this year and i must say im a

10/10/ Infinite (repeat)

As this is the most oustanding quality release I have ever had then it has to get 10 (Everyone seems scared to give 10's, am I missing something ).

Brilliant movie !
My wife went back to reading her book after 10 minutes but I found myself fascinated from beginning to end.
Bill Murray's performance was the most understated yet the most powerful of his career.

Bravo (click, click, click).

Excellent quality all round.

Shocked how good this movie was.

Like most people, my biggest hate in movies is corny bits, this movie had so many places it could have slipped them in, but they didn't.

This is a must-get, and my vote for movie of the year.

Posted by vcd099 on 01-06-2004 01:38 AM:

quality was awesome. as much of a movie buff as i am, just didn't like this movie at all. unless you're into movies where two people compete to see who can have the least to say, not worth it. i know it's hyped to be a 'great' one, but there are plenty of movies that do a better job than this.

on the other hand, it was nice to see bill murray not doing comedy.

9.0/9.0/3.0

Uhhh ok I don't like your "gang rape" comment but I can see how you really dig tcf's work. Scarlett is a fantastic actress and I hope to see more of her!

I agree 100%!!! Quality is Outstanding!! I have seen a few screeners now and this is the BEST quality dvd screener copy I have seen. It's even better than the Freaky Friday WS dvd rip I think! Great sound, haven't seen entire movie but based on intial impressions:
Movie 9
Sound 9
SVCD Quality 10

What does Bob Whisper to Charlotte??

I have finished watching the movie, thought it was excellent but I have a question. in the scene when Bob sees Charlotte from behind in a crowd and steps out of the taxi cab What exactly did Bob say to Charlotte when he is holding her in his arms? He whispers something in her ear and I can't make out what it is exactly. I realize the director might have deliberately obscured what he was saying to her but just curious...is it:
"Bob: I'm going to miss you. I am so glad I met you. Don't cry, ok?
Charlotte: Ok."
