very good release, just like the others with audio fix. But wow, this has to be the worst movie ever. I mean rocky 5 was bad, and it blows this out of the water. The acting is horrendous, the fight scene at the end is the worst fight sequence I have ever seen in a movie that actually had a budget. I was extremely dissapointed with this movie, and think it should have never been made. If Rambo is half as bad as this, I might become depressed.

v-9
a-9
m- -10

well the sample and a few rar's look good...lol.
v/9
a/5, on a quick scan through it is still out of sync so this score was revised.
m/11, not seen, but c'mon its rocky!!!

nice to see a proper so soon.

Great release... I was waiting for the PROPER. Video is good for a DVDScreener... Sound is synced...
What more can you ask for a movie that just came out in the theaters?

9/8/9

Posted by wanksock on 12-22-2006 08:39 PM:

obviously none of the people above have watched this rip

it STILL has a glitch in the video and its STILL out of sync.

all praise xbmc audio delay option.

video - 7 heavily pixelated in dark scenes and theres at least one video glitch

audio - 5 good but out of sync about half way thru.

movie - not finished

Just grab the DVD-R version they put out at the same time. No sync problems and full 5.1 surround. Just finished watching it on the 32" LCD and it looked and sounded great!

Get the Redemption80.Fixed.

I advise everyone to grab the DVD-R if possible because it basically resolves all the issues that all these releases have.

Posted by Salamander98 on 12-22-2006 10:24 PM:

Patience people. The DVDR is the best release out. Forget about XVIDS. If XVIDS were so great, they would sell them in stores...ahhahaha

howdy

still has the glitch I screen-dumped before, but no sync issues it looks like on the dvdr, only 2.2 gigs tho and a bit blocky

but fook me it is just out at the movies, and not here till January 19th, and Rocky Balboa is the greatest

Merry Christmas to one and all

Yep, Redemption80's version is cock on...the only one to get. If he can do it with a little effort (to help us "don't know hows") why can't the "scene" groups show a little more patience and QA in the first place?

Thanks again Redemption!!

Posted by Avi on 12-23-2006 12:09 AM:

Just finished watching this release. You guys are right... The audio is still NOT synced in this release...
Geez, is it that hard to get audio sync'ed right?

Posted by vcdking24 on 12-23-2006 12:45 AM:

I agree...this is not even close the the Redemption80 release. Redemptions work is very farmiliar, like the fixes that Adywan used to do...are they the same person?

Posted by Dodgy Del on 12-23-2006 01:25 AM:

Thumbs down

i had sync issues to. along with a little pixilation in bits.this movie would be good for people with bad eye sight. as this definately wont be going to the oscars but going to the dogs. the film is murder!!!

The Distill.Redemption80.Fixed release is a keeper. I haven't watched the other copies all the way through or really at all...but the Redemption80 copy only has two little glitches that don't take away from the movie in any way. And the sound is completely in sync throughout the movie.

Redemption80 release:

8/9/8

Edit: Sounded great on my stereo.

thank you so much. grabbing redemption80 rls right now..

Posted by JDogg71 on 12-23-2006 11:07 AM:

I had no sync issues whatsoever with this release.
Video - 8.5 (A little pixelated on occasion)
Audio - 9 (In sync and in stereo)
Movie - 8 (Millions of times better than 5, nice to see Rocky end the way it did)

Posted by muncher on 12-23-2006 12:30 PM:

MVS sure do like to give other groups shit, when there try at the thing is no better, still out of sync in 2nd half of movie
stick with other rls and just grab that groups fix works mint

Posted by muncher on 12-23-2006 12:41 PM:

Salamander98 are you a fool!!!
A cam converted to xvid is just that a cam,
an xvid of a dvdr is just that, its a dvdr converted to xvid so the copy is clock on for something that is 600meg not 4.7 gig.
That is why we like xvids, the space!!!!! and the fact that we dont have to download 4.7 gig every time we want a film.
So an xvid of a dvdr is just as good most of the time

Posted by mattylad on 12-23-2006 03:30 PM:

Watched the film with the Synch issues fixed (not sure if it's ok on this release or not, but the video is fine. With no synch issues I would rate it:

V - 8
A - 9
M - 8 (love Rocky films, loved this one)

Rocky Balboa *PROPER* *XViD* - DVD SCR - mVs

it aint perfect but it beats cams and the current ts rls's !!! by miles
v-9a-9(very very slight syncs issues)m-its rocky and i dont think these films work aswell these days but really if u seen the others it a must see....could hav been worse but not bad story line bit obvious like but like say could hav been worse !

i hate it when people report on shit they dont watch.

i thought after all the comments saying this dvdr was fine that i would be happy with it.

i gotm to the original marking where the video craps out and where then the audio has issues.

then comes the proper mvs but with that the issues happen 1 minute later.

and now this.

the video issues happen when the boxer climbs outta the rings after speaking to his guys, but gladly no audio issues at all.

v-6 (due to glitch)
a-9
m- ill give it a 8 becuase half way throgh this i enjoyed it that much but had to go out lol

Posted by frak on 12-24-2006 08:59 AM:

Watched this on the TV...

I actually went and saw this on opening night - who'd have thought a screener would have come out so fast.. haha. Still glad I supported ole' rocko.

Anyhow, video quality is great (and looks just like the theater release, which is a little on the grainy/dark side), audio is excellent and movie was suprisingly very good. Stallone is in amazing shape for a 60 year old guy.

v: 9
a: 9
m: 8.5

Posted by jyang on 12-24-2006 09:18 AM:

Totally irrelevant to the release, but thought y'all might be interested, anyway (for those who didn't already know... just found this out myself):

The actor who played Mason Dixon, Antonio Tarver, was actually the light heavyweight champ when this movie was made... He was the guy who beat Roy Jones, Jr, twice (out of 3 bouts), once by knockout. The first of the 3 was just as Roy Jones was coming back down to light heavyweight, after beating John Ruiz at heavyweight.

This guy's no slouch!

Posted by Spetz on 12-24-2006 08:43 PM:

Great release imho.

V - 8 pixellated sometimes ,blurry at times.

A - 8 clear sound mp3 ,a bit hissy.

M - 10 (amazing as always ,highly motivational and inspirational for those who train and play sports)

Get the soundtrack as well The best of Rocky Balboa (18 tracks) all remastered great for workout sessions.

Nice fast early release MVS:

Video: 8/10
Audio: 6/10 (Minutely outta synch in 2nd half but not that noticeable and sound was a bit distant)
Movie: Pants!

Not a clean screener has a scrolling message a few times saying property of blah blah bit no b&w scenes and scrolling warning msg is small.

Posted by rawgwar on 12-30-2006 01:02 AM:

Thumbs up

V: 8 (a bit pix, little blurr but very vhs quality watchable)
A: 8 (little out of sync during father son scene, not much else)
M: 9

A few minor stuff + warn msg but movie was a good watch!

Posted by enycesfinest1 on 01-01-2007 06:18 PM:

nice....

Let's hear a little more detail next time, you're leaving me in such suspense! -LOLobo

Unhappy Aww Man

V-7
A-5
M-4 - 5

This isnt so good. the audio is out of sync and the movie itself is just plain bad. they should have just let the Rocky series ride. thanks to mVs for the release. keep em coming guys

Posted by Rags on 01-10-2007 08:30 AM:

V-9
A-7
M-10

I didn't notice any pixelation, i thought the video was top notch for a screener

the audio was pretty good but got badly out of sync in the father/son scene outside of adrian's restaurant....other then that it was all good

I loved the movie, i wish they showed more of Rocky training, they barely spent any time on that.
