... good idea, lets release a 3cd version over a flawless 2 cd version, then blame them 4 puting it on 2 cd's as a excuse for releasing it late
go, watch both (preferably on a standalone), think about what you said, and come back.
Since when do you release an action movie over 120min on 2 cds?!
I like 2cds better, if I wanted perfection I'll buy the DVD (which I'll probably do anyhow)
this should be nuked. tdc's is perfect quality. 3 cds is overkill
I didn't see anything really wrong with the TDC version, I actually watched it last night and was very pleased. I'm happy with the 2 cds so I dont gotta get up and change the movie so often, I wish they would have gone into what was wrong with the TDC version...
1st Version was fine
I watched it on a standalone and it looked flawless. I can't imagine it getting much better. Flix would have released this even if the original were on 3 CD's. They would have found another reason to rpoper it.
yeah gotta agree.. you could also make a 720x576 XSVCD then with 8000kb/s bitrate and put it on 8 cd's
the other one was great and its 1 cd less to download.. this is just a later release.. not a proper
lol
triple x *proper* *samplefix*
how can they bash a group when they cant even get a proper sample out

Downloaded TCD's version last night and watched it, and I didn't notice a single flaw. I'm sure you won't notice much difference with this 3 CD version.
TDC version seems ok but ill prolly get this one
How you gonna fit 124 minutes on 2 cds without compramising the video quality. This should never have been released on 2 cds, Flix has every right to proper that release. If your smart you will grab the flix version.
I also have the TDC version and can't see anything wrong with it. All you people who keep talking about comprimising something go watch the release and tell me whats comprimised.
stop bitching... its a scene standard for 3 Cds over 120min.. might even be 118 or somethin.. but regardless... its a fine reason for a proper... nothing worth nuking over... and TDC's rls... DID compromise some crutial bitrate by using 2 CDs. noticable to anyone familiar w/ encoding.. u might not want this rls and be perfectly happy w/ TDC's rls.. but dont criticize a perfectly good proper..
/me just hopes FLiX didnt use DVD2SVCD again

I rarely post because of all the lamers new who degrade this site. But unless you are watching the TDC version on a 13" black and white monitor you can see plenty of pixelation through out the movie. Much needed proper. But as the previous post says its all about what makes you happy. But if youre reason to keep the TDC version is one 10 cent disc, youre better off downloading the divx off of kazaa next week.

the whole point of movies is to watch them on your TV, unless you have the proper DVD then your going to see pixelation, and even with the DVD your gonna see the pixelation....
if you want a 3cd version download it, but theres nothing wrong with the 2cd version, and if you allready have that no point getting the 3cd

TDC version was good nothing wrong with it a + bein 2cds
once again.. they didnt rls this cuz they give a fuck what ya think
scene standards... call for a 3 cd rls in this movie... and so they did what was the standard.. now stfu
and the video on this one is MUCH crisper than the TDC version where many scenes have noticable pixelation..

There is only a few movies i would ever buy and xXx is not one of them, so this release better be near perfect dvd quality
TDC's release was good enough.

Its clear TDC is a good encoder from a top group who prefers 2 cd releases. Made a new group name and released it.
I personally watched it and saw no flaws. Its clear it was done by someone with experience and not some noob.
There are some expert groups who do 125 min to 2CDs, this isn't a first time thing.
If ya want perfection bitrate, buy the DVD. 2CDs is for me.
TDC's rip could have also been propered for not having any subtitles during all the parts in Czech for example.
m-drew the reason why krazy said "i hope its not dvd2svcd" is cause the program puts a track before the movie with a pix of there logo on it. Its a waste of time and yes flix did encode with dvd2svcd on this one
p.s. I wonder why your not all bitching about the lack of subtitles you cared so much about femme fatal having them you would download a whole nother release but xxx has no subs even though the theater release i seen had them so the dvd must have them. I don't understand spanish or any of the other languages they speak.
Have you guys WATCHED the entire TDC version on a standalone? I have, and it pixelates all over the place. Why do you guys continue using words such as "perfect"... "flawless" to describe it?? Pisses me off that people look at 2minute samples, or jpeg samples, and claim releases to be fine.
I'm downloading the 3cd FLiX version. Don't waste your time with this 2cd rip if you enjoy watching perfect dvdrips.

from amazon "Format: Color, Closed-captioned, Widescreen, Dolby"
Closed caption=a form of subtitles.
I overheard that this release was overbitrate, is that true? TDC's was underbitrate, FLiX's is overbitrate... we have another minority report fiasco coming soon, heh.
quote:A HUGE (I emphasize on this word) percentage of Femme Fatale was in french whereas only a few scenes were in a foriegn language in this film. Just like TCF's Star Wars Episode II, 1 brief scene had the aliens talking something but I do not feel that released needed a PROPER due to a brief scene versus the majority of the film.

Had the first cd from tdc, noticed the jagged edges & didn't bother with cd2, gonna have to get the flix rel.
btw, for those saying it's perfect/flawless etc, are you watching it on your monitor, an old tv, or something?
it still amazes me that people complain about having a CHOICE of versions!
LMAO
".. good idea, lets release a 3cd version over a flawless 2 cd version, then blame them 4 puting it on 2 cd's as a excuse for releasing it late"
Jesus there are some lame ass peeps in the world. Obviously you guys dont know that there are rules to releasing SVCD movies! The only reason they are there is so some lame ass group that doesnt give a shit about what it looks like can't release BS material... The rules are there for a reason so for those who dont know about them they should shut up cus the group that screwed up the first release did know about them!!! They had plenty of time to release a proper, but they didn't so if you wanna bitch about a stupid release then you should look to the first group who jacked it up!

NEWB ALERT
If you know anything about encoding (I know some) you know you put an ACTION movie over 2 hours on 3 CDs. The bitrate is MUCH lower on a 2 CD version. If it were a movie that didnt have much action , it wouldnt be so bad to have a 2 CD SVCD release. But this movie has action doesnt it. I prefer a 3 CD release I dont mind getting up off my ass to change the CDs. There are such things as 3 and 5 DVD changer players... it isnt a big deal to push a button on the remote to change the CDs jesus christ. You should always go for the highest bitrate when encoding movies (I never go lower than 1900) the lower you go the more pixelated and the worse it looks. Just logic. Props for both groups. We arent releasing the movies so we cant bitch when they have to spend money to give us releases and we just leave our comps on all night and have the movie in the morning.
bitrate?
sorry but what was the actual video bitrate of this proper release?
Quality is great, no problems here. I run the svcd in both the my computer monitor and my flat screen tv, and it works great.
What is wrong with DVD2SVCD?
It is a great program. Those that know enough about encoding will know that DVD2SVCD is a fine program.
Yes, even YOU can encode SVCD successfully with DVD2SVCD!!
Whilst I am here, this is my two cents of the two releases.
If a group breaks a scene rule, they ought to be nuked.
So what if it looks and sounds fine on your standalone? Rules are there to keep standards high, lord knows that groups will do substandard rushed pres without scene rules, plaguing us with loads of crap.
If you compromise on rules once, you might as well compromise it all the way and let groups do whatever they want.
128kb sound, 1pass CCE, etcetc. How bad can DVDs be? It will still sound and look ok. (to the casual user)
So all that "looks fine....sounds ok" arguements for releases which broke scene rules, please stop it. It is as fucking old as the "its free, dont bitch" arguement.
Thank you.
