Vin Diesel sucks and yes his movies do too

After reading a couple of his trade magazines, and his unreasonable salary demands, Vin Diesel is out in the sequel to his action his film, XXX.

He was seeking $20 million plus a cut of the box office, so the producers have replaced Diesel with Ice Cube (Anaconda) who will be cast as another Extreme Action Star. Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role from the original movie.

Do you folks think this is the end of Vin Diesel?? if not the you think his sequel to Pitch Black will resurrect his career??

Or what up and coming with be the new Action Star??

I generally like Diesel as an actor, and I've liked all of his movies, with the exception of XXX, which is probably the lamest action film of recent years, and I still think the problem didn't lie with Diesel, but with Rob Cohen, who's one of the worst directors out there. If Diesel's out, I say lose the director too.

As for Diesel being a greedy bastard...which major Hollywood star ISN'T? He definately doesn't deserve 20 mil so early in the game though.

I'll still see Pitch Black 2, and I DO like that they replaced Diesel with Ice Cube, he's a great actor.

One up and comer who I wanna see more of instead of Diesel is The Rock, after The Rundown, it appears he could show up Diesel or at least be good competition.

This is very true and as a result any lame ass twat, Vin "knuckleHead" Diesel, thinks they can get a huge wad of dough for what would be the same as the original.

well even though i dont love Vin Diesel, i dont know about cube playing a role in a sequel to a movie like xxx... You'd think that would be meant for another 'Diesel-type actor'. Just my few pennies really, but what the hell? Ice cube's ok at action (sucked in ghost of mars) and alot better at comedy... so i think its a little wierd, but none the less i do like him so maybe it will be cooler then xxx cuz it kinda stunk anyways..

I don't think it's the end for him. Especially if the Chronicles of Riddick is a hit. But his demands is too high. He's not all that. He does need to watch it. Or we won't get any offers. And I think Ice Cube as a replacement was a bad choice. If they wanted someone more Diesel like. They could have picked the Rock. At least his acting abilities is very similiar to Diesels. Not very good.

Ice Cube is way better at dramatic roles rather than comedy. Don't get me wrong, he rules in the Friday series, but he's awesome in Three Kings, and I loved his performance in Ghosts of Mars. Nah, I'd be like Ed Norton when they forced him into doing The Italian Job...BOYCOTT the friggin thing, disown the movie. And I don't think the Diesel situation is like you describe it at all. I honestly believe that he thinks that working with Rob Cohen was the smart move (he followed him with the XXX series rather than working with John Singleton on 2 Fast 2 Furious), and that he's so damn good, he should be given what he's demanded, no questions asked. I've seen the guy in interviews, he's a conceited fuck.

And I'd be very surprised if XXX2 flops, there's enough retarded no brained moviegoers who'll be lined right up to see that piece of shit.

no. i've didnt like it before the movie, and after the movie came out i hated seeing it become the "it" thing. a lot of people were into it, and thought it was so great, but knew nothing of the sport before the movie.

Guess no one saw Saving Private Ryan....

1. Pitch Black was good.
2. Iron Giant was good.
3. Saving Private Ryan was good.
4. A Man Apart was decent.
5. Fast and the Furious was decent but over-rated.
6. Boiler Room was decent.
7. xXx did, in fact, suck.

So 3 Good movies, 3 Decent movies and 1 shit movie and now he's the "in" guy to hate.

Internet user's opinions of movies annoy me sometimes...

Go check some old threads about xXx when it first came out, almost EVERYONE said they liked it and now call it the worst movie ever.... Um.... what?

Diesel is a fairly good actor with a good screen presence and intimidating facade.

Ok cool, but it still fell substantially below Universals expectations. Please don't get me wrong. I'm not this big Vin Diesel fan. He's Ok at best IMO. But he does sell movie tickets . And yes if he would have been in 2 Fast 2 Furious. The movie would have done way better at the box office. Not that he's some great acting icon. It's just I know a lot of my friends said they would not see it. Without him in it. And I'm sure many others did the same.

If there is any actor that sucks. That's Paul Walker. Jesus , Tyrese acts better than Walker. Everything Walker says just sounds so fake. His acting is bad. I hope Hollywood is not trying to build him up as the next great movie icon. Because he is not that.

Well folks this has been made officially listening to both EOnline and KIISFM Los Angeles both reported that just signed that Vin Diesel to the Third Installment of The Fast and The Furious. He is reported to being signed for a reported $12 Million to reprise his role from the Original Fast and the Furious, also being signed was Paul Walker and Jordanna Brewster. Filming will take place in March with a possible October release next year.

I guess from a critics standpoint that would be very cool.

What do you Guys think??

and sven---you are right I did... I still stand by my review, one of the better films I thought he did, but I am entitled to my misses, thats what critics are noted for.

The big stickler about Vin Diesel returning in Too Fast Too Furious was his 20 million dollar asking price. And Universal said no way. Now it's a more tame 12 million. And personally I think Fast and Furious 3 will do more than Too Fast did at the box office.

Heh w/the exception of Saving Private Ryan, which I saw so long ago I don't remember, and didn't even know he was in it...I haven't seen any of those movies.

My entire opinion of Vin Diesel is formed from his crappy performance in The Fast and the Furious...which sucked donkey balls.
