Judging from just the sample id say this is indeed better then pukka's internal ... lookin and sounding pretty sweet from what i've seen

pukka`s release was missing like 5 mins of flick, does this have the same runtime of pukka`s and is also missing scenes?

hey all and respect to all the real groups that sort us out what we all want.
this is my first post and i haven't been a member for long but i have been using vcdq for as long as i can remember now (3 years or so ) and i would have been commenting on releases a long time ago if there wasn't so much grp bashing and bashing of one another going on just as motabus has said above.
anyway after reading obsessions nfo and seeing the quality of thier release i felt the need to jump in and give my 2cents.

props to obssesion on this release and for telling it like it is!

Very nice release.

Pic 8.5 - Great. Colours a tad washed but good in light and dark scenes. AR looks good.

Sound 8.5 - Clear and looks pretty much in sync throughout.

Flik 8 - Good entertainment with great direction and effects throughout.

Overall a much needed release. Glad they propered it. Thanks Obsession.

no it wasnt it was from a russian source i dont know who started that. Anyways video good same video source as pukka/dank way better audio seems to be good

i had both this rls and pukkas(mavens) running at the same time on my pc. the visual improvements are very small (its a little sharper) the only real differance from this rls from pukkas is in the audio which is much better.

Video is same source as PUKKA's

if u look 30 mins into it when the 2 pirates overturn in ther boat and the finnish of the wave if u slow it down u see 6 black dots like cig burns and its on both releases anyone know what they are?

why is 2 minutes missing from this release?? if they are recording it in the cinema then surely they will record all of it. its only 2 mins, but still a pain. apart from that its the best release so far.

Excellent release.
Picture is slightly sharper than the Pukka release.
the running time is the same,its still missing the 2 minute section ,136 mins total time.
Audio is crystal clear,best I've heard on a TS in a while.

On another note, who has confirmed that this(pukka and dank included) was maVen's source? The clowns maVensupplier? They are usless in the scene, They talk shit about the best group out there right now and they only release shit. They say maVen sells, why can't they get thier hands on the source and release it before they do? I'd say maVen at some point put you in your place and you mad at them....Why can't you just be a normal release group that releases shit silvers that for the most part no one wants or watches... Just my opinion

Yeah this is the same source as Pukka's.
It's missing the same 2 minute scene at 0:56:06 on CD1 where Will Turner goes over to the wrecked ship.

The audio is much better on this release tho so that makes up for it I guess..

Overall, this release is excellent. It is missing the 2 minutes as stated in another post, but it's a very miniscule part that isn't even missed unless you are particular to detail.

How is this release compared to Danks?

How can you rate it so high, its the same version as before, they lied in the NFO claiming it was a diff source than Pukka´s clearly thats a not true.
Unless of course the cammer had a twin in a nother time and he recorded it the ecsact same way ?

Don't know if anyone else thought the video quality on the pukka release was better ... perhaps i was lucky and my encoder came up trumps...
Just nicked the audio off this and matches up perfect with pukka video.
Though must be said there is nothing in it ... just personal preference

the video is the exact same source as the pukka/dank release, the only thing different is the audio is better quality. should be nuked for stolen source and not proper since its still missing the exact same footage and the head is bobbing along from teh audience member at the 48:25 mark of cd1 same as both other releases.

Why pay?

Watched this on the big screen last night.

This is by far the best release to date (and I've grabbed just about all of them) - saw it in the theater as well.

Video is excellent - good color, video is sharp and he audio is spot on. The missing segment is a non-issue.. I didn't even recall it from seeing it in the theater.

M 10 Depp is the finest actor to appear for a very long time. Long live Jack Sparrow.

Compared to the other releases (Pukka, Dank, Flames, ALT, etc.) this one is the best overall. Looked decent, more than good for a TS, especially on a large screen t.v.

Best So Far....

First id like to Say Props to DanK yes although it was very badly outta sink and the audio was a bit muffled the video quality was outstanding and if he didnt release that version there would not be any of these others so thanks to Dank.

OBSESSION this is fine work i cant really see the difference between the Pukka Video quality and this one but thats just me but OBSESSIONS audio is far better for watching on any stand alone DVD Player.

I thought this movie was brilliant as great as the first... cant wait for the third and also cant wait for the offical DVD Release of Pirates 2.

I Agree with whoever said about the missing scene... i dont recall it from (Jack Escapign the Kracken) the cinema either the only bit i noticed that was missing from all these copys was were will travel's over to the flying dutchman on the little boat and once of Jack's crew shout's out Capatain Jack Sparrow but its nothing major.
