What a quick release.. though this looks like it might be a mislabeled TC?

EDIT: Nevermind, must just be a bad sample jpeg.. the divx release looks great

jeeesus this video looks terrible, not NOX's or DvP's fault, but the fault of the film makers. the audio sounds like its taken from a cam source at a cinema. they only had $120,000 spent on this movie hence its shitness, but jeesus thats bad. props to you NOX
rip is perfect tho, just the source sucks

about time this was put on vcdq, lol. anywho. vid isnt that great. it looks like its out of focus or something, still completely watchable. as far as rhe sound goes, its perfect. there are b&w scenes, and property of lions gate watermarks. im not gonna bother with this, but its a good release if u havent seen it yet,

Is it me or is the divx version choppy? Looks like about 18 FPS. Sound was fine.

Great job from NOX... I don't think that anyone could ask for anything more. Copy looked great to me on the bigscreen, crisp sound, low-budget movie but fun to watch.

release: everything about it was FINE. watchable and no problems, couldnt have expected more from a low budget film.

8.7/8-9/5.3 - bleh watermarks dont matter -- this movie is mostly water anyways = Þ

just another low budget film that made its way to the box office.

I hate to say xvid - but if you want this film get the xvid. its loads better quality than this rip.dont know wot the hell they did to it but the dvp rip is 99% perfect.i got both samples before d,loading the dvp copy & glad i did.

I just saw the xvid version last night, which was in my opinion a perfect rip , as for the movie, it is truly a great movie.most ppl are just to narrow minded to see that.

Wow, this release finally made it to vcdqHEHE..Anyways, its definitely the best version out there.. Pic is widescreen and looks fine to me except it was filmed with a low rate camera and relatively low budget locales..Anyways No fault of NOx..Except for the occasional b&w scenes this film is short and mostly dull..NOt bad, but not great. Will def do till the retail DVDR..

no way man. dont make sense - if u are reading a post 'about' open water, chances are there might be some plot description etc. if u 'really' have some sense, dont read the thread until after u have seen the film. u can see the quality votes over on the main page anyway. there's no need to read specific posts.

not everyone in the world has heard of 'spoilers' = i just wish ppl would use common sense. mores the point, the 'offending' post ppl are mentioning here doesn't actually reveal ANYTHING about the movies plot, at best he noted the chronology of scenes - and for a film set ENTIRELY in water, lets be honest; can a jpeg really say that much?

i rarely post here. and the above is one reason why. ppl exercising 'power' purely for the sake of it. Go sue Hollywood for making trailers that contain all of the best bits of a film, if it 'really' bothers u.

It was supposed to look cheap, that was the feel and look the producers were going for. If that bothers some ppl, then they did a good job. As was stated earlier, like the Blair Witch Project.

In my opinion this is a good copy. Video 9, Audio 9, haven't watched the whole movie yet but skimmed through it all. Seems almost perfect and a hell of a lot better then the previous cams.

decent dvdscr...could have been better, but overall its ok! the watermarks do leave a desire to just delete and not burn though.

movie sucked bad....poor decision making, but if its based off a true story then it couldn't have ended differently. but should have never been made into a movie, should have stayed in the newspaper, maybe a newspaper clipping would have been more interesting than this crap.

I was looking forward to watching this when i seen it advertised and like so many others went to cinema and watched it , what a waste of time this has to be the worst movie ever made in the history of filmaking, total crap , ***SPOILERS REMOVED*** , christ i could have made this film in 3 mins flat utter crap and i gotta admit i wish someone would have told me the friggin ending and how crap this was as they would've saved me a few quid, be thankful you didnt waste your money as for this realease

This is the worst movie I have seen all year. Not because it's a low budget movie, but because it's just a horrible movie. The only thing I honestly liked about the movie was it's length. At least you don't suffer for too long watching the horrible thing. bah.
