I've been very disappointed with nothing even close this whole week. This is the worst release week I can remember for over 4 years, but I know the groups put their butts on the line for us. Anyways, this is a watchable cam and anyone can fix the A/R with their own software. Compared to the previous release, I will take what I can get at this point. I do wish for a watchable TS, but time will tell.

Wasn't half bad for a cam if you can't wait for a better release. I didn't have any bad aspect ratio issues however, seemed more or less ok. (But I don't watch mine on the PC, I run them thru XBMC off an XBox via my network)

Just make sure to get the CD2 repack, the original 3 CD release was messed up, CD1 and CD2 are the same disc.

Video's a lil blurry and washed out, but definately watchable. Audio wasn't bad either, I've heard much worse.

V-6 - A decent CAM, seen better, seen worse
A-6 - About the same, you can hear all the dialog ok without a lot of background noise
M-8 - Good flick, now we have to wait for the next one to see how it ends.

i enjoyed this release video quite watchable, but it's over 2 gig not bandwidth friendly

Yeah i agree with the above, hopefully the time that is being taken by the `other` groups is making it rather pleasent on the old eyes and ears as i watched in the cinema and the dark scenes are some of the best, fingers crossed someone will save the day right? *taps feet in morse code*

seen this at pics and effects on the sea pirates is tops. so a good release is needed.

Dark film so dont rush, get it right.

I have got both this one and hydros, and another one I found (Pirates.Of.The.Caribbean.Dead.Mans.Chest.CAM.XViD-BatPoO) There is missing scenes on all of them...

Run time is suppost to be 151 minutes...

How long will we have to wait? Good efort tho...

shit, if I had a camera I would be all over this film.. I bet this is revenge for iND stealing their rls and saying they fixed 4 pixles on each side of the picture for superman. I bet their dead now and won't ever come back to do another rls, because their badmouthed for filtering their video sources and having decent audio

I am almost concluding that we've seen the end of maven for now, unless it's a disney cartoon again. I think that they've left us, probably cause stuff is real hot with MPAA and Maven is just covering their butts. Been a lot of fake releases with maven's name on them.....

Or alternatively they are just holding out becaus everyone on here is praising their name so much that the mpaa is on their ass just like with centropy.

Sheesh guys yeah their releases have good vid quality but their sound has been abysmal, they turn up around a month late for the big releases (MI3, X-Men 3) and nearly EVERY release has a head popping up.

As for this release, after fixing the ar and turning the colour up (for those interested feed it through tmpegenc or adobe premier and turn the red channel up a little and the brightness down) was quite watchable.

Didn't see any heads, not as much audience participation as the last rls.

Movie was a bitch, can't remember shouting at my screen so much since matrix reloaded!!

V - 8 (after clean-up)
A - 7 (turn your subs on to get the bass back)
M - 7 (Wasn't feeling it as much as the first, plus WWAAAYYY too much hype!!)

Well, I did a file comparison between the Hydro release and the Xanax release to see what was missing from each of them. They are clearly not from the same source since the lens covering in the Hydro release does not occur in the Xanax release. Since they are from different sources, the chances that they would both me missing a section of the movie in the exact same spot are doubtful. With that in mind, it looks like the Xanax release is complete except for 1:30 section between cd2 and cd3. The Hydro release was missing about 30 minutes between its cd2 and cd3. I just cut edited out the missing 1:30 from the Hydro release and so now I am going to actually watch the movie... HEHE... Still not a great release, but ok for a cam

Take a russian full TC, add an english track from here and you get a watchable copy.

Why is everyone railing on Maven? I mean until recently they put out stuff only rarely. It would be great and I know I'd be a happy camper, but still...Hydro is mainly who knows what you'll get cams. The TS groups like ORC, Hustle, Prevail, and HafVCD are the ones we come to depend on for this stuff. Like everyone I keep checking and hoping for something out there, heck been almost stupid enough to grab the French TS and at least be able to see what the movie looks like. Stop ragging on these groups and just hope someone pulls down a good version. Talking smack wouldn't motivate me to shut someone up. I do hope for something soon, but time will tell, but stop talking trash like they owe us something.

how can any of you be pissed that such a fine movie isn't released in better quality. Yes, maVen does great work, but how are they letting you down!? - do you think they could care that your feelings are hurt. Just be grateful they were around for some good rls's and be grateful other people risk it all to give you this rls.

Not very good. Picture looks like garbage even for a cam. I appreciate what the guys are trying to do here but this is just not good.

Movie was a blast. Not sure what critics that are blasting it were expecting from a Pirate Movie. Realism I suppose.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that this is one of the hottest movies out in years and last week's showings were probably sold out. I don't think they had a chance to set up their stuff to get a quality capture of the movie with all the people around.

If you want great quality for a movie this popular, just go to the movie theater and watch it there, otherwise be patient.

Yup agree with all , this isnt going to cut it for this film . I did how ever grab a "TC last night . The vid is the best out there , rather good . But the damn thing is outta sync , way out . Its not constant so it'll be piece work, thats alot time for a rookie like myself .
