The shitty movies of '07

I'm not going to number em, The number would be to high.

Beowulf, The effects were clunky and the story sucked.
300, overhyped piece of shit.
StarDust, I didn't know what I was getting into. What garbage. I can't stand it when chicks pick the flick out.

The 3 movies this year that I really hated.

There are many many more, What were your most hated movies of 2007?

Oh yeah, Superman Returns sucked also, I know it came out in 2006 but it has to be one of the worst movies ever made. It's worse than Star Wars Ep. 1.

Transformers was alright first time round, couldn't finish it the 2nd. Ergh. Thank God I wasn't looking forward to it, or I'd be pissed off. Altho everyone who was looking forward to it seemed happy, so hey.

Much worse movies, but I didn't bother watching those.

Stardust? De Niro was rather flamboyant. It wasn't funny, it was disturbing. It's a chick flick. My friend and two chicks went with us, The chicks liked it. Us two guys didn't. Oh and again It's a chick flick. Glad you thought it was awesome.

Beowulf was bad. How many fucking times can someone say "I am Beowulf." I got tired of it. That movie is a perfect display of producers having to much time and money. The effects were HORRIBLE, mainly because they were clunky.

Superman Returns has to be one of the worst movies ever made. It's as bad as Star Wars Ep. 1 & 2. all three of these movies are pure garbage.

300? You call that fun? Speed the film up and you have a 30 minute movie. Not much time for character build-up or plot. I kind of enjoyed the movie the first time I saw it in the theatre, then I saw the dvd scr and I hated it.

Rise of the Silver Turd was horrible as well, At least it was better than the first fucktastic 4. That's not saying shit.

Pirates 3, I have seen it once, It was a bit long and drawn out, A few scenes could have been shortened or cut, but it was ok.

I haven't seen superbad, I did see Knocked up and enjoyed that quite a bit.

Balls of Fury? that never interested me, that looks bad. It doesn't look funny. and the reviews state that I'm right.

I didn't mind Shooter, it was an ok action flick, nothing more. Plop your brain out and enjoy it. I didn't want to see it, I was kind of forced to, My buddy and my girl wanted to watch it, and guess what I was in the middle of that. Majority rules.

You didn't like Sunshine? We usually agree on bad movies, but in this case I have to disagree.

Worse Ones (no particular order):

Brothers Solomon - gave up watching it and jumped on my computer while it finished out. Just plain stupid.

Rise of the Silver Surfer - Have to agree god awful crap but maybe better than the first one.

Whos Your Caddy - I want find the motherfuckers who made this and beat them with my 460cc driver.

Delta Farce - I enjoy somwhat Larry The Cable Guy, but stick to stand up routines please!

Norbit - Someone please tell Eddie Murphy he's not funny anymore.

Rush Hour 3 - Maybe not the worse but please kill this franchise now!

Some of the movies suggested as the worse were actually pretty good including 300, Balls of Fury, Superbad (excellent!) and Shooter. Hey, to each his own...

Agree with those assessments.

Wouldn't say Sunshine was entirely 'dogshit', but was largely disappointing. It was much like The Fountain (which we only got in the UK in '07) to me: both films were very pretty to look at, both had potential, but, at the end, neither really delivered the moneyshot.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry...watched it against my better judgment (based upon (early) rave reviews). I should've stuck to my better judgment. IIRC there wasn't a single LOL moment for me.

That's about it for me for Hollywood movies. I generally don't watch bad movies (other than those I know are b-movie bad (but those aren't really letdowns, I know what to expect)), I seem to have some in-built shit detector that keeps me away from crap - it helps that I generally watch more non-US/English movies than not as it means I have a massive selection and am quite selective what I devote a couple of hours to.

The fountain didn't make my shit list because it was so shit I didn't think it was even worth mentioning, ranks in shitness alongside 'Alone in the Dark' or anything made by Uwe Boll for that matter. Utter cack that disappeared up its own arse about a second after the Warner Brothers logo left the screen.

A mess? I think not, The only people who have stated it's a mess is people who don't understand the movie.

That was one of the problems when it came out in the cinema people didn't understand it. The plot is linear, a-b, I don't understand what is so hard to understand about this movie.

Alongside from a brilliant story, It's visually fantastic.

I've heard of neither The 300 or Stardust being booed at their premieres. Unlike The Fountain of shit which was roundly booed at its Venice Film Festival premiere.

The daft cunt spent 6 years making it, blew £18 million real pounds and struggled to find a mug dumb enough to distribute it. Add to that the humiliation of being one of the only movies to get booed by movie critics at its premiere and what you should arrive at is a very simple conclusion... The Fountain sucked ass.

I read Beowulf in junior school, the whole class had to read it, not sure how it found itself on to the school curriculum but it did. Beowulf and Stig of the Dump were my 2 favourite books as a kid. I liked the movie, wish i'd watched it in 3d.
