NFO confuses me..

*TWO* pass on a VCD.. ?? makes no sense... especially as its more than likely come from a silver anyway, they wouldn't have encoded it at all...

Video is alright, better then the earlier subbed since I hate subs.
Sound has a slight static in the background.
The sample included has a scene where they are discussing what happend to the last security gaurd. There is a line that is missing. I'm not sure yet if its just a screwed up sample, or not but the line Ice Cube should say is You heard what happened to the last security gaurd.
Well that line is missing. Day Day responds to it, but ist not there.
that 2 pass VBR doesn't make sense, but oh well. Thats all I can comment on now, Its not worth 2 cd's to burn yet.

I'd like to say that all silvers copies shouldn't even be released...but the problem is that would make over 1/2 the groups pointless. I've noticed that alot of groups use silvers and dont have their own sources anymore. Thats just judging by the video quality. And really, its all for free...so I guess I dont have any reason to complain.

jsut because someone doesnt hate a release or says something good about it doesnt mean they are in the group.. you see this in almost every forum about a questionable cam or ts... anyone who stands up for the rls or group is called a member, I'm not saying hes not one... but people here are so stupid.

and I'm not trying to stand up for the release either... havnt seen it yet and dont plan on it if its a silver... i dont see the point

people say it cause its an easy way to flame people and go with the majority opinion, cause people have trouble thinking on their own, so they attack what is visible, its how lots of things work, if you listen to hip hop, that is how a freestyle works, which is basically an open forrum, like this, its sad, cause only uneducated are heard, basically, if anyone knew the rules of a TS , audio is the most important, the video just has to be watchable, which is why i said, wow, nice job on getting this a week early, but you know jealousy breeds hate, shit is funny. oh well, this rls has better sound than the atleast the last 5 TS releases that came, hehe, oh well mike epps is funny as hell...im done on this thread...late

i think that silvers can be good, look at the release of Jurassic Park III from TEG, that was a damn fine silver.....and for those of us that live in the boonies, and have no other way of getting silvers, having groups release them is a definate plus.

on the other hand, nearly any video can be made to look a tad better, theres no reason to rip a silver straight off the VCD and take credit for it if thats all a group did. so in that respect, silvers could be considered a pain...

bottom line is that silvers are definately better than no releases at all!

My opinion on VCD silvers.

Rip them, go ahead, it has its own disadvantages and advantages, but when you release it MAKE NOTE its a VCD Silver in the NFO or the Folder name.

Solves that problem.

I think VCD Silvers should be allowed to be released, but groups should inform us in the NFO that the source was a VCD Silver. Then people would know whether to download it or not and we would bitch at the groups so much.

Dont try to flog off a VCD Silver as a home-made TS or CAM. (Not pointing the finger at ThP)

AND THIS GOES OUT TO ALL GROUPS - LABEL YOUR RELEASE PROPERLY PLEASE!

I really doubt this is a TS.

I might say to my self this isnt that clear or sound isnt right but whats the point in going on the internet and posting about it, the movie is still going to be the same when u finish posting. And to those who need to choose to download a movie or not quit whining because I know most of you have to have cable, DSL or higher so it doesnt take much of your time. Start d/l and take your ass to sleep.

Hell im stuck on 56k and i dont bitch like you people. 3 days constant it takes to get once release, and you people bitch about 100kb/s being slow. dsl here is capped at 60kb/s and 3gb a month.

for starters guys silver just means it was pressed and not burned. thats all and nothing else. the term silver has absolutley nothing to do with the format of telesync or cam. it is just a refrence to how the disc was burned. havent you ever noticed that when you burn a CD you can see where the writing ends but if you purchase a CD and look at the face it is all SILVER.

the asians use telesyncs and cams to produce silvers (pressed VCD's or DVD's) and distribute them. it doesnt make it not a TS or cam because it was made into a silver.

just because a release group got it from an asian silver does not make it less of a telesync or cam. when the release groups get a silver they will evaluate it based on their experience and try to make a determination if it is a cam or TS. since they didn't film it they don't know for sure how it was captured in a theater. if the audio is clean and there is no audience noise they will label it a TS.

they are not doing it to try and fool anybody. they do it because it is a scene rule to include the capture method in the file name. if you are fooled by the labeling it is only because you are a fool and do not understand why it is there or what it means.

you guys seem to think that the TS in a filename is an indication of quality when it most definatley is not. the idea that the silver should be denoted in the filename or nfo is about as foolish as the idea that home made TS's should include the type of camera used in the file name or nfo.

the sample files are there for quality assesment. if your source does not include sample files then dont complain that the scene should change their practices and rules to accomodate the lower echelons of distribution that they have virtually nothing to do with. instead you should either better your sources or pay closer attention to how things are done so you can make the determination without having to download a sample.

BTW
the release is IMHO lower quality than the PMT release. both releases are fairly poor quality so unless you REALLY want to see this movie skip on both releases. i REALLY wanted to see the movie and i watched the PMT release but i grabbed this release to compare and i feel the PMT was slightly better. had the PMT release not been around i would have watched this copy and enjoyed it.

i do not expect DVD quality or even VHS quality from any TS. if thats the quality you are expecting then don't download ANY TS's because none of them can meet up to that quality standard. you should be waiting for at least a screener if you have a problem with the quality of TS's.

As for the movie, I've so far only downloaded CD1 of both this and the PMT release - both are pretty shabby, which is why i haven't got a CD2 yet... 5/5/?

One of the few occaisions when a *PROPER* would be appreciated.

hehe good reason... but I'm sure all of the people everyone accuses of being a group member isnt. I dont think your post expresses any opinion towards the group... but everyone jumps all over anyone who says a release is watchable and they are usually accused of being a group member. - and I dont mean to be taking any sides for any group by this post

Washed out colors, blurry video and audio that sounds like it was recorded inside a can of tunafish.

Crooked camera angle.

Not worth the cd´s or the electricity for powering the comp.

Lets pray for a dvd/vhs screener or a nice "8mile.internal.tcf" style Telesync.
