Very Nice TC

Probably better than a DVD screener for the reason that there's no studio name all over it and no B&W scenes while quality is only slightly worse. Video quality from sample is VERY good, definately better than FRA's TS, so if you want this movie definately grab this. Audio, what can you say, it's direct. Nice job, Chakra!

Judging from sample this Is a very nice replacement for the TS that was released. great Pic and sound. I haven't watched the movie yet but I was suprised at all the bad reviews it got.

Very nice and very quick, great picture and great audio.

This will do until a DVD version is out.

Not one of the best Telecine ive seen by a long shot.
Picture here looked Very grainy and there’s a few
Artefacts ive noticed blip here n there.

Sound is bang on the money, nice n clear

Movie? Still flicking threw it, but I will watch
It properly later tonight.

Despite the bad press its been getting I will give it a chance

Once again Thank you Chakra, Free is my favoured price
And I won’t turn my nose up at this.

Good to see a grp not afraid to allow it room to breath (3CDs)
This would have suffered a lot worse if a lesser Grp
Squeeeezed it onto just 2cds.

agreed. not the best telecine, but the opening words are in english, so its not the same source as earlier tcs like lord of the rings and such. its still the best out there, and its relatively quick. audio is great.

this looks really grainy to me...sounds fine, its clear and theres no motion blur, overall pretty colorful but hopefully the sample does justice to the full release. gj overall..


7/8/x [i heard it was crap, but i still want to see it]

This telecine is about as good as TUN's Troy telecine........

in the beginning there is some colour adjusting , and changes, etc......as if the people transferring were changing the settings on the fly....

the audio is fantastic.......

very good job on encoding, scenes with fire or lots of moving objects are barely pixelated if at all.....

I know folks who would believe this was a DVD source if they were told it was by someone......

Mega PROPS to Chakra..NICE pic and sound.Been waiting to see this one for awhile NOW Far better than FRA and PIC is much cleaner. Sound is spot on as well. 3 CDs oh well. Definitely more worthy of 3 cds than the Oceans 12 maVen release!! But god this movie was boring and what was with all the gay suggestive ness..Damn fine Telecine..Good as Retail almost

watched it on a normal CRT and the picture
was realy quite good.

i must stop sampling the pic on this LCD full screen lol
it shows the flaws in the best dvds
so i should have known realy..

picture: Pukka not dvd qual but not far off (by dvd i mean dvd5 standerd)

Sound: As was said above

Movie: not as bad as they made out, but its no Troy

hope a 5.1 dvd direct encode from master turns up

Thought it was kinda blocky, as if i was converting it for my phone.

Sound was amazing as is to be expected and since FRA's TS was the best out there then i would suggest downloading this if you can't wait for your DVD Rips.

Not the best TC i've seen floating around but can you complain when it's free?

I dont know why people keep mentioning this being 3CD's, its nearly 3 hours long, even the VCD POT version was 3CD's, although a smaller filesize.

Just watched CD1, most of the grain isn't visible on a TV, so great release, it would be nice to have more HQ TC's.

yes i like troy and i like alexander :P

edit : they actually took out 2 or 3 scenes to fit this on 3 cds, thankfully the scenes werent that important(alexander flirten with his boy lover at the beginning)

so since they took those dumb scenes off i like the cut even better! lol

Really nice TC, indeed, quite in the "tradition" of Chakra's TCs. Picture is clear and colorful, sound's great, movie.. er.. wasn't as epic as "Return of the King" or "Troy", so it has let me a lil' bad taste.
Props to Chakra, that was the quality I was waiting to watch this movie.

Shouldn't this be nuked? it has scenes missing!

As far as the movie:

Picture: 8 (Colors are there, very little blockiness in battle scenes.)

Sound: 9 (Crisp and clear, couldn't ask for any better from a telecine)

Movie: 8 (Stone is still very much the man)

As a release: 3

I don't care how good the quality is, if I want to watch a movie, I want the whole movie. Not a flame, but a statement. If this were a POT release, people would be flaming it from all directions.

Good job Chakra, but next time bring the whole movie instead.

Very good quality copy. Yes there are a few scenes missing but none that you would miss.

Lol Arthur Daily, they tought that an irish accent would fit for a sorta exotic-greek accent, tough it doesn't work very well heh.

Well worth the download definately the best copy available.

cd2 problem

same problem I had with oceans 12 release--i use vcdgear to convert to mpeg but it wont play with media player or bsplayer---i get error message saying can`t oped file..Please can anyone tell me what to do to get a good mpeg....THANKS

used isobuster to convert to mpg instead of vcdgear----worked great...wonder why this does better job than vcdgear??
