8/8/8

Posted by IRC_Moviefan on 03-22-2005 06:31 PM:

Watched sample & a few rars , no intentions on watching this movie. From what i seen the colors and AR are on par , movie is dark , could have been lightened some , dark flickering around the edges , lots of motionblurness during fast moving scenes. Sounds jack , not DTS ..

Quality reminds me of a maVen TELESYNC rather then an old Centropy TELESYNC.

Not Centropys best work but much better then the HafVCD CAM out already.

7/8/never

Will give props to Centropy for sitting through this movie and camming it , without falling asleep ! Musta been torture

Posted by kap0n3 on 03-22-2005 06:57 PM:

seems like EVERYONE and their brother is going to add no intention on watching this... to the reply lol

9/9/x from the sample

Very nice video, great colours and nice and easy to see, a little motion blur, but not too bad.

Audio is fine, but its only Headphone jack, it does the job though.

This seems to be one of Ctp's better releases. The video is very clear with nice color saturation. The sound is good and I can't say enough of the quality Ctp gives us. Still, this is better than their Winn-Dixie copy to me.

welcome back Centropy!! .

This is pretty decent (as always) but not your best. Still, i'd recommend this one rather wait on a better release (if thats possible)

8/9/never gonna watch it

lol its great how everyone is like "welcome back ctp, wb!!!! OmgdZ!"
there not back, they are just teasing you with a horrible movie. lol

i think another rule should be added to vcdq:
new rule: "when ever ctp (centropy) releases a file, dont get your hopes up that there will be another one soon. And please guys, dont get on your knees"

Nothing against centropy, its just a fact that they are not back.

in fact the only reason im going to get this release is because HOPEFULLY there is a cool intro. lol

from sample, video looks nice, not much to complain about, audio is nice and crisp.

I want to see this.. and I heard (from those that have seen it) that it was a great movie.

Thansk CTP! I REALLY wasn't going to think that you'd release it.. props!

How do you watch a few rars? They're split and compressed files?

Also why do people download samples of film sthey'd never want to watch, seem's very pointless to me.

Posted by directv on 03-23-2005 03:31 AM:

VLC

As mentioned , download a rar , i usually add whatever.rar.mpg to the end , and watch in either Powerdvd or VLC player.

Cos it could be the greatest TS ever to exist in mankind, and even if you don't intend to watch the entire thing, its nice to check out what is out there. CTP for example, haven't released much TS work recently, so they might've got a new supplier, using new camera or whatever.. its nice to check that stuff out.

If I'm bored, I might even watch the flick, altho I have waaaaay too much on my HDD atm :/

Call me a tinkerbell, but I watched this whole movie. I actually ENJOY cheesy teen feel good movies like this. I enjoy a lot of other stuff too.
Video quality was almost perfect. I gave it more contrast and darkened it up a tad, then it was PERFECT. Sound was average. It was NOT DTS. It didn't even seem to be hi-fi in any capacity. Sounded like a chair jack, but flatter than it should normally sound. That was not Centropy's usual sound quality.
I got a kick out of the movie. I found it to be generically interesting. I've actually seen worse "blockbusters".

Video - 8.5
Audio - 6.5
Movie - 7

i think you have to reconsider buying a decent sound system, sound wasn't dts but was real real clear to me on my sound system.

perhaps you should buy something else then 9.99$ speakers ?

could just be me....

It could just be my lying eyes but I actually think the cam version of this movie, despite of couple of glitches, had better video...This version seems a lil' dark...the cam version seems brighter...just my opinion...this is still a nice release with good audio & video..

The reason he noticed it wasn't great quality is becuse he probably had decent speakers, poor stuff is more obvious on better quality equipment, not cheap stuff.

I found the sound well below par on this, and ive spent nearly £2000 on Home Theatre equipment, which is damn near $4000, its clear enough, but only when theres dialogue, music isnt great.

I don't know, i got harman kardon decoder and wharfedale speakers, and sound good too me, maybe bad adjustement on the surround setting ? because the source is obviously stereo ...

How do you know what kind of sound system I have, or how much it cost? (Yes, my system cost MUCH more than $9.99. "The Matrix Reloaded" was the 1st movie I ever heard on it, and it was a level of sound quality that I will NEVER forget). Do you live with me? I never said the sound wasn't clear. I said it didn't seem to be hi-fi, and was kinda flat.

The sound is stereo of sorts, and sounds OK in stereo, but feed it through ProLogic2, and its mostly distortion through the rear speakers, as i said not loud enough to be distracting, but it is there.

Dolby ProLogic2 is a good way to test how clean the stereo signal is.

Posted by mrjohnnice on 03-24-2005 04:23 AM:

Just finished watching it, very good sound and video quality and sad to say I think the film was good too and I'm 33

Posted by FastAssEG on 03-24-2005 10:29 AM:

This was a waste of Centropy talent. The cam was good enough. This movie didn't deserve this. This only has an audio adavantage to the cam.

Centropy should have concentrated on a differnt movie, such as Be Cool.

7/8/6 (good kid movie)

no

Posted by vcdking24 on 03-25-2005 05:04 AM:

First of all, the movie was terrible. Very predictable..been done a million times before.
Quality: Well, aspect was fine, audio was good, video was clear and not as much motion blur as other people had mentioned, but the color is what messes this up. Everything is reddish and orangey. If you run it through a filter, it turns out to be a really nice release. Not really sure what they were looking at when they released it, but overall even with the color problem, still a nice release
8/7/4

BTW: No twats in this release.
