judging from sample, looks better than some their recent rls, nice and average.. and i didnt hear a horrible hiss in the audio, not bad FTF

i may be wrong here, but doesn't the sample seem like the last 60 seconds of the movie? lol. if so that kinda spoils the ending. but i haven't seen the movie yet, so if it isn't, my bad

if thats the case then mod should also look at the other ppl who vote 1 1 1 or 3 2 x. I vote 9 9 9 or 10 10 10 whenever i give a rats ass to do so.. if theres is such a vote of 1 1 1 then they will also be 10 10 10's.

man what this place needs to get is the voting system removed.

then the problems will be over.

I saw the sample. I immediately mouthed red dragon as soon as it started. This looks like the same guy or setup and I really wanna see this.

I use the votes as they are and have found them to be a good gauge in most cases. There are as many 1 1 1 as there are 10 10 10. What this doesnt account for is that there are even more people who would almost never vote above 8 no matter the quality for a TS. Still others that rate them differently. This is a lame subject and people that are concerned about it should just focus on how they feel the movie should be rated, and vote their conscience. Besides everyone already knows the votes aren;t the only way to tell how good a release is.

not bad pre at all sound is better then most FTF releases from the past no hiss like another said at least in the mpeg sample and the first cd that ive watched so far video is watchable not to blurry and not to sharp

Packetnews should be up shortly, You should find a good channel and stick with them. I really want to see Ghostship I hope this is as good as FTF's early Red Dragon release. FTF's quality goes in and out but they are getting alot better.

I learned long ago that votes (particularly those for an FTF release) are essentially worthless. The jpegs are more useful, as are a few of the member's comments. The sample is essential.

I, for one, would be honored to meet the founder of FTF. While other groups come and go, FTF can be counted on to save the day at least one out of five times. What I've seen of cd2, GHOST SHIP doesn't look quite up to RED DRAGON's level, it's not as sharp and def too dark, but the sound is excellent and it looks like something worth watching tomorrow.

considering the source from where they get their stuff, ftf does a pretty good job. i have seen the (vhs-to-dvd) difference. earlier this week they propered a few of their own releases. why u may ask? because their 1st release came off a vhs(which had prolly been copied 100's of times). then they got the dvd release, which usually is better. as we dont see qual fade when making many dupes of it.
that being said, i say from viewing cd1 only -6/5/?-
maybe it should be "ftf = faster than f*ck" heh

obviously TS and cams just dont look right on the really dark or really bright scenes, regardless of who releases it, and this whole movie is dark (lots of no-lights, underwater stuff), this release is 'watchable', but not great, and I doubt there will be a good TS or cam of this movie.
And the sample is the last 1 minute of the movie.
Either because who ever cut the sample thought itd be funny, or possibly because it was one of the few non-dark scenes in the movie?

Good and Fast release, its not on the top quality but its good enough to watch!! This movie reminds me a older movie called THE FOG but this is alot better FTF keep up the good work!

calling this decent what not this is a very good TS not just decent the video is very good and the audio is very good the rating system is not based on 10 is dvd quality 1 is shit cam quality your juding by a ts and this was a very well done ts im sure if such groups as C*P were to release this you would have all praised them and said kickass release.

Average ftf pic, sound a bit loud but no hiss. 6/5/5.

As for voting, if you disagree with it don't fucking vote. If someone votes 10/10/10 don't vote 1/1/1 to level it, you're just being as dumb as they are.

I'd say from CD1 and the sample that it's about a
7/6/6

Movie is nothing special , but the quality isn;t bad. Sound
isn;t the greatest but i'm not complaining!

Just saw the movie and its good....except as usual these horror flicks are always shot in 3 footcandles of light.
The sample i got of the caskets WAS the last one min. of the film,
so if you get that one, dont watch it.

Watchable, So so video quality (overbright,black areas are grey,lacks sharpness etc.) , sound is really loud and lacks quality but at least the framerate is smooth.of course all of this is expected on a CAM vcd ,I just saw this one in the theater yesterday and thought it was pretty decent ,the scene on the boat in the begining with the steel cable cutting everyone in half was extremly wicked and unexpected ,it was worth seeing just for that alone hah,anyhow nice release

Watched the film last night and the pic was dark probally since the film is set in that kind of mood,film was ok nothng special though sound does go a bit funny specially on cd 1

is this a sort of remake or what as i saw a film years ago which i still have and was banned in the uk movie was called Death ship released in the uk by thorn emi (early 1980 ish)

I stopped rating the movies as there isnt a point since it gets rigged quite a lot (maybe a set post count b4 you are privilaged to vote, just a idea)
