Not that I might not agree with the general conscensus so far, but may I ask why so many people don't explain their dis-taste in the form of an accurate analytical account of what is incorrect with the DVDrip; rather than just getting into a shouting match with every post that's made???

went to the cinema to see with their own eyes what this movie looks like colorwise you would see the colors are supposed to look like that (blue-grey). that's how the movie was made by speilberg...
so quit whining and stop bashing rfta divx rls, it was gr8 quality (audio and video....). and except for a slight background noise that rls was top quality...

Dudes... i think the problem is that this is came from not a REAL DVD source, i mean not the retail DVD, just from some Chinese or some other bad qual medium, i know the colors should be like this, but its far as not that sharp as it should be, so lets wait for a real source DVDRip....

I agree the source seems to be the problem. Muted colors, overly bright whites. It's DVD, but not very good DVD. The encoding seems fine.

So, are you implying that this release isn't as good as an SVCD DVDRIP should be, even if not by much? If so, what's wrong with it and why is that as good as we're going to get?

Does everyone think this is the best one so far? Does everyone there'll be more release attempts? Did this get nuked on lots of sites, or did most accept it?

Secondly, if dci was affiliated with vite in any way they would release a quality rip of minority report on the same standards as vite does for divx they would do on svcd. if this movie needs to be released 10000000 times let it be, but someone will have to get it right eventually

I'm just picturing the DVD coming out, whenever its release date is, and there's still no good SVCD rip of it. And then everyone and their grandmother buys/rents the DVD, does some screwed up rip, and tries to release that. And, while my grandmother is a fairly accomplished ripper with decent site access, it would still be funny.

I'm considering downloading one of these bad releases, just because I really want to see this movie already.

opened it up in cyberlink.powerdvd, right-clicked to 'show information' and guess what, the audio stayed constant at 224 as it should, but the video did not stay constant. it ranged anywhere from 2.8mbps to 0.98mbps, depending on the amount of action, etc.

TcS and TDi aren't and were never ViTE, they were AFFILIATED but they are NOT the same groups. A few members of RfTA just merged with ViTE, so I don't know if they are the same group or just affiliated. That's like saying DEiTY IS Centr0py, but again... they are not.

Ok well I just finished watching this on my 60 inch widescreen TV...and this rip is near perfect. Sorry to all you people who think that this rip is crappy quality...the colors from the sample and the entire movie are EXACTLY the same as when i saw this in the theatres.....there was absolutely nothing wrong with this rip....its one that is gonna remain in my collection forever.
