Very nice release. Video is much better than internal and audio is great it was labelled correctly and is very good. I just got this and watched the first 5 mins. and it is VERY watchable if you want it. It is on 1 CD too because the movie is only 71 mins. long. If you wanted to see this movie get this copy not the internal. This is a nice release and props to VoRTeX for the nice release. I give it a 7/8 for video and audio on a TS scale.

** Also I have seen no problem with the so called frame rate loss. I watched it on my comp in WinDVD and had no problems at all and it seemed fine.

Nicely Done, a little dark and blocky but good CAM sound

Great Release!

Nuke?

Sample looked better than QvD cam.....

Possible gave it a nuke for misleading nfo, as in it being ripped.
Maybe a dvd recorder was used to do this one and therefor it would have been ripped and encoded to vcd but I dunno.

What do you guys think?

Just becaus they are to lame to get their nfo right does that deserve a nuke?

Better pic, fux0red nfo let the movie stay!!!!

I for one will download this one

All you n00bs flame away

it was nuked because of MASSIVE frame loss. They used a NTSC 29.9FPS camera and cut it down to 23fps, you can see it so clearly, newbies learn before you post okie?

Don't download this, the jpgs may look good, but the frame rate is terrible. Get QvD's cam its sound may be shittier but it has better video.

Question

Is it worth watching, I mean does Sandler give the movie some humor or what?

There may be "massive frame loss" but it shows pretty good-- nice colors, sound, etc. Perhaps the animation makes the frame situation less of a factor. I think this is an EXCELLENT release, frankly. Also, props for speeeeeed.

As for the movie, I've watched 20 min so far and I think it's pretty good. The reviews have been savage, so maybe it falls apart, but right now I'm not sure what is so bad about it.

you fail to realize that animation film is shot on 24fps and then later filled in with 6 blur frames to comply with ntsc when transfered to dvd, vhs ... etc

so this is why you cant totally tell there is something wrong, but when you use a cam at 30 fps, and slow that down you are essentially making the movie slower than it is when you drop the frame rate down to 23.3fps or whoever pointed that out

Posted by THE_DREAM on 11-30-2002 10:04 PM:

i dont understand why ppl is giving these guys low ratings i think the pic is good and the audio is fairly good to

Posted by Apostrophe on 11-30-2002 11:39 PM:

just want to say the sample looks very nice on video if there is massive frame droping i cant really tell jsut a very very light flicker from the pure fact that its a cam shot video the audio is slightly hallow but still very very nice at least this is on the sample pulling down the rest now over all the sample video makes it look really good i geuss ill be able to see what this frame droping is about on the full movie later but over all it looks nice to me.

Posted by mrshibby on 11-30-2002 11:55 PM:

YAY

I've been waiting and waiting impatiently for this release. I am a big Adam Sandler fan...

The quality looks really good in the JPG sample, I am definatly gonna get this...

Havent watched it yet, in queue to d/l it. Not gonna vote till i actually see it.

All ive gotta say it w0000t

Posted by Faceman on 12-01-2002 01:31 AM:

If they did release a 23.976 FPS VCD, it should be nuked. Also if the original was shot on DV cam, going to 23.976 is a no-no. Doesn't matter if you are "shooting" a movie in the theater.

That's too bad though, the JPEGs look 100 times better then the other release.

Posted by Kbu11Dude on 12-01-2002 04:30 AM:

Decent release (quality wise), video 7 audio 6, shitty movie 3.

Posted by VCDz on 12-01-2002 05:56 AM:

Watched the sample...

The "flicker" that everyone has been reporting is BARELY noticeable and you have to look for it to notice it...

The audio is a bit hollow, but still good.

Release is very watchable IMO...

23 fps you guys are blind if you think this should not be nuked!
That flicker is very annoying to alot of people because most peoples eyes see 25 fps! I seen the sample and dont like giveing bad ratings without seeing the full movie so all I can say from the sample is NUKE IT!

:: your first 2 sentances are very amusing. the flicker is there because the fact ur recording a 23.96fps feature with a 25fps camera.. not because of your eyes...

Great release, and now I know why your not a nuker .

Your just a picky bastard, or your just repeating what another picky bastard said...

Like I said before... you have to look close to even notice the flickering... so STFU .

Thumbs up

Video Quality is amazing, audio is a bit muffled but the film, oh, I was in stitches and tears were running down my face...

Well worth a watch, and certainly not a kids cartoon!

But what happened to the end, it seemed very abrupt!

Posted by Jonas on 12-01-2002 07:10 PM:

I found this release to be completely watchable. Video is decent with some blockiness and flickering. Sound is hollow but good enough to easily understand the dialogue. I found the movie to be entertaining and definitely worth the download.

6/6/7

Posted by torxxx on 12-02-2002 07:54 AM:

Video - 6 - Quality was alright. I watched the movie, and I wasnt looking for the "flicker" and the movie seemed alright.. Not bad quality for a cam/ts (what ever the fuck they are called now)

Audio - 6 - Sound was decent. Has a slight treble hiss..

Movie - 8 - Adam Sandler is badass..... Movie was too short though

Missing at the end, well, I don't really know... perhaps 30 seconds, maybe a couple of mins...

(SPOILER: I was kinda hoping he'd get back with the high-school sweetheart, but that wasn't shown... or was it never there?)

Posted by southparktvma on 12-02-2002 07:08 PM:

Just watched the movie and has been said by others the "Massive Frameloss" is barely noticable.

The video on this release is great, nice picture, straight and loads of color, the sound while a little hollow, is pretty good too. No problems hearing the sound (which makes a change from most TS')

However the movie sucked (IMHO) It's like a Disney musical, but with poop jokes.

Quality wise, probably one of the (if not the) best TS' I've ever seen.

Posted by nine-volt on 12-02-2002 10:34 PM:

Movie had 2 glitches in it. Sound was good, video was good although a little dark. Movie wasn't that great overall. The end of it cut out so I'm not sure if that was the end or what. I was expecting some kind of commentary at the end.

Posted by nitemare on 12-03-2002 07:59 AM:

7/6/4

pic was clear
sound was alrite. some parts couldnt understand..but maybe cuze old man/old womans voices were very odd anyway

movie itself was ok. average at best. def. not one of sandlers better pic. this one is def. not worth money to see.

release should be nuked cuze ending is missing! wtf?!? but the movie wasnt that good anyway so i could care less..

Posted by |*HiTMAN*| on 12-03-2002 08:05 PM:

I have yet to "watch" the movie, but I give it a 6 for video and a 6 for audio. Like I said I have yet to watch the movie, but I expect a few good laughs from it since it is an Adam Sandler movie, and he always make's me piss my pants from laughter.

Posted by d0l3m1t3 on 12-04-2002 06:19 PM:

I popped it in to check the quality...

Good quality for an animation TS. Easily watchable. Flicker and dropped frames are obviously noticable if you let things like that bug you, for animation and this movie, it won't really be missed. Decent sound, easy to comprehend, slight hiss but nothing out of the ordinary for a TS. For scene purists, I guess the the dropped frames might void this release but for the general public and scene grunts, it'll do just fine. Nukes and propers are in the eye of the beholder on this one.

6/6/x

Posted by sooka on 12-05-2002 09:13 PM:

was there a bit of the pic missin at the bottom ? bloody good ts i'd say. there was somethin odd i noticed at parts of the movie, dunno if this is the flicker some are talkin about. i really wanted to hear that knock knock joke though, and see the ending. decent release, good job. 778 (im a sandler fan)

Posted by ilovedrew99 on 12-06-2002 11:17 PM:

did anyone else have a problem with the sound @ the end??

I noticed with like 5 or less min. of the movie there was NO sound?

Posted by BongRipper on 12-08-2002 10:09 PM:

Nice release - crappy movie

Like the subject line says, I gave this one a 8/7/2.

Couldn't find much to complain about here regarding the release - by TS standards, vid was nice; audio levels were a little unstable (sometimes too loud, sometimes too low) but not at all unwatchable/unlistenable.

The movie, however, sucked like a Hoover. Adam Sandler is a hit-or-miss talent, apparently - and this one was a big miss.

So, go ahead and download this one if you really want to see this movie - you will be glad you didn't plunk down the cash at the theatre for this turkey.
