WOW! Blown away by the lovely Scr and now this. I loved this movie, well worth watching.

Check out the opening 5 min sequence, it's such a brilliant start to a movie. One of the best i've seen in a long time. Very nasty, very shocking, very brutal, very brilliant.

9/9/8

Posted by brr8760 on 12-30-2002 04:18 AM:

Nice catch

Thanks TDi. And thanks to Mystic Slippers for the heads-up. Now I'm gonna watch it.

It's definatley a DVD screener. A "Property of.... " msg pops up about four times during the movie.

Nope. Works just fine on my DVD player, watched the whole movie and everything. Seen it twice now lol.

p.s: Let me reinforce the point of how damn good this movie really is by telling you all, it's great!

Posted by Adrian on 12-31-2002 02:44 AM:

are u guys fucken sick? 10 for video????????

someones on crack

Posted by Mystic Slippe on 12-31-2002 04:11 AM:

If it wasn't an SVCD but a DVD-R and wasn't a DVDScr but a Retail copy i would have given it 10. Instead i gave it a 9.

I fail to see what your problem is. There is a lot of fast-motion in this movie and it plays back perfectly with no blurring. It's a brilliant release.

Try watching a sample or the whole movie first dude.

Solid

I watched the entire film and experienced no playback problems, despite the highly stylized editing of the movie - overlapping sound, speeded-up video, quad-screen, etc.

It is a very good release, if you like the "cop called back for one more job where nothing is as it seems" kind of movie.

Posted by BONE on 01-01-2003 08:55 PM:

nice rls .. 9/9/6 .. video and audio AWESOME

Didn't think the movie was that great .. acting was top notch but the story was a little too familiar .. nothing new here.

Posted by JoshNya on 01-02-2003 12:50 AM:

The audio isnt normalized, meaning when ya hear them talk u have to turn it up. When ya hear music you have to turn it down. Nasty.

But good early rls.

Posted by jbcg1820 on 01-02-2003 05:50 AM:

ok now i dont know what all the praise about this movie is, i watched it for 10mins and got bored, although the video is great for a dvdscr i give it 8.5, it looks a tad blue to me, but maybe thats how its suppose to be (dont even start to flame), audio could be better, but from what i understand thats how it is in the other releases, so im guessing retail-dvd will be like that to... whats so good about this movie..? maybe it will provoke me to watch it all..

Posted by nitemare on 01-02-2003 09:22 AM:

8/8/8

pic (9) - near perfect, but a bit bluish. seen better, but very nice!
sound (8) - again, near perfect, nice job

movie (8) - was slow at times, great story, great ending! go watch it.

*was that dead cop (fergoson) pimping his wife again like she was pimped before when she was 10yrs old?

great release!

Posted by backoff on 01-02-2003 05:59 PM:

LOOKIN GOOD

I have had no internet for a week so I havent gotten like 30 movies, but this morning i found this and the quality is nice and i havent watched the whole thing yet, looks good though.

Loving these very early DVDScreeners for limited movies and just normal ones, keep up the good work all groups!

Posted by billymcq2 on 01-03-2003 11:46 AM:

I'm glad I watched this before reading the nfo, otherwise I could've just watched the last 20 minutes.

Great movie though, and good quality too.

Billy

Posted by Defir on 01-04-2003 12:13 AM:

Haha, I just read the nfo too. They tell you everything except the ending. That's funny.

Posted by CDSBurnley on 01-04-2003 12:44 AM:

Would it be possible for a review from one your veterans

Veterans, lol

Where I live in the states we only get mainstream movies produced by dreamworks, mgm, ect.. I had never even heard of this movie until i downloaded it. Any information would be helpful

Posted by Lord_Sauron on 01-06-2003 03:26 AM:

Very good movie with nice video and audio quality...

Also EXTREMELY quick...I didn't realize this movie isn't out nationally yet...I live in NYC so I've seen ads for a few weeks now about it...

Posted by phrozen902 on 01-06-2003 05:40 AM:

Great DVD Screener

Watched the first 20 minutes of CD 1, cool begining. Great picture and audio, too bad there is a Screener message. At least it isnt a scrolling one and is down at the bottom and out of the way.

Great overall release, 9/8/?

Posted by dopeuser8 on 01-06-2003 07:32 AM:

center channel audio (mostly dialogue) is super quiet, and the effects and bg music are super loud, Im guessing a bad ac3->2 channel stereo conversion, or lack of normalization or whatever, just annoying more than anything, wouldve been nice if it were fixed but its still good and the video quality is great.
Video 9 Audio 3 Movie 8

Posted by temp0 on 01-06-2003 08:17 AM:

It's supposed to be bluish.

Excellent color correction to set the glum mood.

Posted by dopeuser8 on 01-06-2003 05:47 PM:

HUNTERBICK: check in IMDB.com under the 'coming soon', this movie isnt even in theaters yet, well, it has been, in limited releases and movie festivals, but the offical US wide opening is January 10th 2003...

Posted by Z-Gouki on 01-07-2003 10:02 AM:

Excellent release.

9/8/7

Posted by Pra3t0 on 01-08-2003 06:54 AM:

Wow, finally saw this. That was fucking intense.

Great job TDi.

If Denzel Washington got an Oscar for Training Day they REALLY need to give one to Ray Liotta for this one. He was awesome.

Posted by godmoney on 01-09-2003 07:02 AM:

great movie and great release. thanks tdi.

Posted by Siefor on 01-09-2003 01:53 PM:

9/7.5/9

Posted by Rightanglez on 01-10-2003 12:50 AM:

9/7/7

Although I think a lot of the so called "Volume" issues are really how the Movie is.... I mean the Bullet shots were Fuckin' LOUD

Posted by olympiakos on 01-10-2003 12:01 PM:
