Neo(matrix) VS Cleric (equilibrium) VOTE!

after seeing The Matrix and Equilibrium....i was wondering if they ever battled each other...the main characters....would win the battles...

so i decided to get your opinion on who would win if these two battled it out......

NEO- from The Matrix
abilities - to stop bullets in the air, every know fight art form and flys.....

Cleric - from Equilibrium
abilities - good with guns and swords and has a good fighting art form....

my vote goes to CLERIC!

After seeing the new Matrix trailer, im not too sure we've seen how "hard" Neo actually is.... I have a feeling over the next 2 movies your going to regret saying the Cleric because Neo will be a one "hard" bastard.

So as nifty the Cleric is with his anti-gun fighting, put him in a ring fisty cuffs (no guns) with Neo and I think Neo would kick his ring piece from here to Zion

The Vote.. hmm lets see. NO. Neo would go destroyer on his ass. He'd romp him, he'd stop his bullet, look really confused, and continue his destruction. He'd jump in him or some shit, you can't beat him with weapons really.. it'd be stupid to try, and that is Cleric's style really, weapons. So eh.

CLeric can come with all the gun-kata he wants but it means nothing if Neo can stop all the bullets in the air. Besides, all Neo has to do is download the fighting style in his head and its a wrap. Cleric has his ass handed to him.

I see alot of ppl are mentioning now neo can stop bullets, and its "true" he can but cleric knows the scientifically best martial art. its been perfected in everywhich way it can so he doesnt need a gun. so logically fighting styles; cleric has the better fighting style

well, the black dude was able to perform a very basic sticky legs maneuver against the Cleric in the courtyard when they had the batons. if the Cleric was really versed in a perfected, scientifically best art, he wouldn't have fallen for that trap.

Neo never did something as cool as throw a pair of magazines down in the middle of the guys he was gonna blast, and then mow them down and you gotta admint.. his reloading trick is friggin cool... and I haven't checked, but has Neo ever cut someone's face off? just a thought....

neo didnt use all his possiblilities yet, in reloaded im sure hes gonna show some more new fight arts, but cleric aint bad tho, i would say from far neo is better, if its a close fioght with like 5 enemys cleric is better

(and how come people always complain about keanu`s acting? i never understood why people watch a film and pick out tiny little things...watch the film for the film, yeah complain when the acting is proper shite, and really bugs u, but reeves is funny and good in the bill and teds-dont see how his acting can ruin the whole film, and the matrix-who even notices acting abilities in that? and ive seen it as much as others, ok thats my rant for the week, thanx)

neo can stop bullets... neo is doing this in a virtual world created by the machines. cleric is tearing it up in the real world. (i sound like a five year old arguing this) when neo is NOT plugged in and going against cleric who cannot be plug into the matrix, what chance does neo in his weaker physical state stand? he can't stop bullet in the real world!! :P

I just watched Equilibrium, and saw Cleric. Holy, shit. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. That movie was not only great, with fantastic acting, it had a real plot and some sweet ass action going on. Cleric is the damn man. Overall Neo could still take him, but if they took him out, Cleric, and he still knew all he does in the movie, Neo would be a faceless body. Damn.

Whatch that movie.

ok i'm gunna have to go out and see this movie i guess....but as long as it's in the matrix, it would be impossible for Neo to lose the fight.....and well i (obviously) havent seen this movie, but i would assume it would take place on Earth, the "unplugged Earth." So .....Cleric would lose. Even if he got unplugged he still couldnt beat him....there arent many new skills he could learn....

Everything Neo does is pre-assembled in the construct before being jacked into the matrix. You don't see him bringing back the weapons or clothing from his jaunts, do you? Doesn't seem to make sense that he'd retain anything else from the construct, either. It's all part of his residual self-image.

But just to humor the thread, I vote for Cleric. Even though Neo can stop bullets, he doesn't do it often. We only see him do this when he his directly facing the enemy and somewhat prepared. After the Keymaker opens the door and Neo grabs Morpheus and flies towards the door, his back is turned and the agents are firing bullets. Seems a small miracle that he made it without taking a round or two, and he certainly didn't try to stop them.

And Gun-kata isn't merely standing a few paces away and shooting dead-on at your nemesis. Hell, Cleric took out a whole room in the dark without taking a single round himself. The Gun-Kata is said to increase firing efficiency of no less than 120%. The matrix agents couldn't even hit shit during the whole movie, leading me to believe that their weapon proficiency is no better than above-average.

Ahhh fuck it. Bruce Lee would own them both.
