From sample... Video is ok but a bit dark and lacking contrast. Audio is clear but slightly "noisy" but overall this is a decent enough CAM.

:: i just noticed after watching that the video has a kind-of dirty yellow tint round the top edges. dunno why, just looks a bit offputting on a couple of scenes.

really good for a cam baph is doing good so far

only problem int he whole release is its cut of at the bottom sometimes the persons mouth is cutoff but thats aobut it

Great job for a cam...except for the cropping at the bottom very well done..sound is good....i didnt notice any time missing and my version is complete it just cuts out right before the credits at the end....... 7.5/7/8

well finished watching whole thing.

Overcropped on left and bottom (subs?) so small things are missing (location names, Mike Teavee in his scene... pun not intended)

Audio was really superb though. Don't care about scene rules on this side... I know I maybe missed one or two lines (though the characters were mumbling them anyway, prolly woulda missed them in the theater too)

Considering the Japanese release date of this still is just "Summer 2005" last I checked, I was happy to watch this all the way through tonight.

Was it a good movie? I dunno... It had moments, though Johnny Depp should have been a bit more "creepy" at moments.

Parallels to Michael Jackson will be found in every nook and cranny, so the timing of this great performance simply seems a little marred by that child molesting freak's acquittal.

Still, I enjoyed it... though it could/should have been a lot better.

Odd movie, So i liked it a lot.

Video looks good, but severly over-cropped,
audio is ok, fairly clear for most of it, a struggle at some points to make out what they jut said,
movie is good, I thought it might suck, but then I read a few really good reviews, and expected a lot better, but overall it was good.

Quite nice for a cam. Camera is kind of too close as most close ip shots show half a face. or the bottm part of whatever is shown is cut off.

mixed bag of candy

well this is quite a treat in my eyes, if the original cammer can get the zoom and crop correct i think they will be the next big cam group if not more. The color was fantastic, the depth was there, in some scenes it does get pixelated, but its VCD so thats understandable, the only major problem is the left side and bottom are missing and/or cropped out, pretty sure the bottom got cropped out. The sound is also great, only missed a few words, but I have a built in eq on my equipment so I made it sound good, dont know what it was encoded to sound like without modifications. The movie I loved it, and loved the dark side that it had, I was a fan of the original, I like how this one went in depth you learn more about willy and oompas but the oompa loompa song isnt there and that was the best song in the 1st one, instead its replaced with a different tracks, which are also amusing as they poke fun at the children. they found the right replacement for veruca salt if they were going for the same look as the original, its almost a perfect match. The ending was not as expected but heck alot of the movie was different from the 1st so its all good... this rls video quality is 9 for a cam its very sexy, but i gotta rate down on that because of the cropping makes it annoying at times so... 7.5/9/9

Wow, these guys are coming along quite well i must say. This rls is far better than most anything pot did (no offense). It looks and sounds brilliant (for a cam of course). I will be loving this a few times (and i don't usually bother with cams). Great rls.

I Do Not Exist Therefore I Am Above All!!

Watched it last nite and was suitable impressed. Picture is cropped at the bottom, seems to be a slight angle like it was filmed from the right hand side, nothing too bad tho and only really noticable in a few scenes.
Audio is excellent, only heard the audience once, and perfectly clear, some groups would probably try to pass this off as a TS. Movie was good.

Audio: 10 (you wont get any better cam audio than this)
Movie: 7 (good, but not as good as the book)

Great release especially for a cam, i give it a 6.5/7/8

Top notch release from these guys, hope they can keep churning out this good quality.

Video - 9 (overcropped like everyone said, but besides that as good as a cam can get)

Audio - 9 A little bit of audience in 1 scene, and nothing else besides that

Movie 7 - Johnny Depp plays the role beautifully, i just didnt really find the movie too funny, and felt like it dragged at some points.

Rated fora cam.
DOn't see how eveyones justifying the high video ratings when almost half the screen is cropped off at any given time. I guess when the picking get slim everyone jumps at what's available. I would not consider this watchable. The colors are nice, but with the cropping being so extreme, who cares?

Another nice CAM from Baph. Good effort during these hard times guys!!

Video - Good colors, and minimal bluriness through the entire release. Only major complaint is over the cropping, which is particularly heavy along the bottom (possible subtitle cut, as mentioned previously).

Sound - for a CAM is nice, minimal background disturbance at all. No other problems in this department.

Movie - wacked out.......really shouldve made the Umpa Lumpa's more loveable like the original's were.

ok i am now watching this on the TV as opposed to computer as my 1st viewing was. Its still good, but my crappy cyberhome picks up a bit more pixelation, but its still great 7/9/9 A great movie, and I think its all on what you expected it to be... willy wanka is the kids version for pure joy throughout, except the crazy boat ride but this is definately darker and more disturbing really, but I expected it, they said this from the start of making it, I cant say I prefer 1 over the other because i am both sweet and crazy, so both have their qwerks all depending on how im feeling, but charlie finding the ticket has always warmed my heart

:: lol at the point again when the world freaks out, i definately love the muslims and others freaking out above the original brits and usa, adds a bit of contrast ::

well, i havent seen any other releases so im going to let this one have it. its a cam and a decient one at that. audio is nice with only a few coughs and other background noise. the only flaw is with the video and that it is off centered. you miss the left side of the screen through the entire movie. rating is as follows:
video 5.0 straightn it out and your more like a 7.0
audio 7.0 nice work here
movie 3.5 nothing like the origional, nothing that is remotely good. i did watch it, but since i was hoping for an improve on the 1980's release, i was let down. no spoiler, but dont look for the same story line. interesting take on the idea though. i like johnny depp, but he shouldnt have played in this role.

im sure this is what most others are posting, dont mind my old ramblings.

forgot to mention, since it is tim burton, i was expecting a little more flair and excitment, this film did have that, but not really what i thought this film needed.

These guys have a good cam is all I can say, it would be 8's across the board except for the cropping. So rated against other cams..

Loved the movie!

Aside from the cropping, video is pretty clear. Audio was good but I had some sync problems. Nice work from BapH. Seems like each release they do get's better. Movie has Tim Burton written all over it. Good movie for the kids with some adult stuff they're not likely to catch.

I thought this was fine...a little over cropped on the bottom but not bad.

This really annoyed me. If the ppl who released this would not have over cropped it this would have been one of the best cams i have ever seen. Why would they do that. The left and bottom of the screen are way overcropped. Half the time you can't see who is talking or you can't see the mouths of who is talking. Which is probably good considering the entire release is out of synch by like a half second. The video is very clear and the audio is really good for a cam but I just can't get over the cropping. Why isn't this nuked. I remember superior rls's getting nuked for overcropping that wasn't anywhere near as bad as this (Constantine). And the movie was pretty cool until Burton decided to change the ending for whatever reason. The new ending sucked. The Gene Wilder movie was so much better. Depp kinda freaked me out. Maybe it was because I could only see his eyes or the right half of his face at any given time.

V - 7 (would have been 9 but the overcropping is so awful)

This could have been a wonderful cam, hopefully this group can figure out how to make a cam right and they will be a top group

Well, not much to say on this that already hasn't been said... Great release for a CAM. As stated before, would've been the best cam I've seen if it wasn't for the extreme overcropping, but considering what else is out there, I really can't complain too much. Audio was really great ESPECIALLY for a CAM. Had no sync problems that I noticed on my stand alone. Wasn't really impressed with movie. Only watched it cause the wife is a Johnny Depp fanatic. I guess I didn't go in with too much of an open mind cause I grew up with the other version and compared it to that too often. Guess I should read the book to see which was a truer interpretation. Other than that... Great release BaPH. Thanks.

Well, wanted to see if this movie lived up to the hype. NOT!!!! Gene wilder IS Willy Wonka!! This is one that should not have been remade. This release is good but lacking. I basically am ebert and roper all rolled up into one.... so the fact that it isn't that hot a movie will not impair me from trying to find a better release prior to actual DVD release date. Nevertheless, good effort BaPH.

crappy picture and crappy audio-sounds muffled throughout and disk 2 goes out of sinc.don't waste your time on this one.oh, to rate the movie-it sucks big time too

first minute or so of the movie is cut off (making of the bars inside the factory). heavily cropped, but good audio/colors
