AR looks pretty good to me. JPEG is wrong AR tho.

Playback on DVDplayer or in PowerDVD not Windows Media Player etc, as its makes it square.

First off dont get me wrong centropy is prob the best ts group for pic wise but com'on now peeps.Quit kissin ass if any other group released flix with bad ar they would be nuked but because its centropy its ok?The really funny thing is when Kung Pow scr was released as a svcd you all bitched about it being a svcd of low qual but when a ts"of lower quality "is released you all praise them.WTF a ts is a ts nomatter how you try and play it.It still has the same dark and bright seens,angled camera,and bad ar. this is a good ts but fucking learn to vote.In noway is this better than a scr but yet its got a higher rating.

that is exactly what i mean. ctp have great releases but i dont see why theres are svcd when not even vhs screeners (a better source then ts) are normally released in svcd.

In a day and age where bandwidth is becoming more and more meaningless (how many DVDR releases were there this time last year) i personally dont mind filling two discs to the brim for a better quality TS. Its not the fact that they think a TS is better quality than a screener, its the fact that transferring to SVCD will lower the potential quality decrease, as the DV format is FAR great than a VCD. When it comes to VHS, the SVCD format is indeed the greater of the two, and it is therefore a waste. A 2 disc SVCD telesync is ok by me, a three CD is pushing it, except for extreme circumstances.

ok.. in no way do i agree with using svcd for telesync's.. i think its ludicrous. BUT made acceptions for spiderman and star wars because .. come on.. who gives a fuck if it was Xvcd for those 2.. but this is moronic.. do we really need an svcd ts of this peice of shit.. who wants to waste 2 80 minute cd's on big ass latino bitch strikes back.. i mean come on.. use some discretion now and then

Dude come on... cds are so cheap nowadays who cares.. i saw a 50 pack of 80 min cdrs at office max for FREE after a $20 rebate.... i mean if its gonna look better on my apex ad 3201.. then yeah ill take the 2 or 3 cd svcd ANY day

I am glad to see the SVCD TS. I wish every release group would start doing this. On this movie my girlfriend wants it and when she gets what she wants I get what I want.

Way to go Centropy.

You guys get a progressive scan DVD player hooked to a 53 inch HDTV Digital Monitor and you will see how good these are.

after having watched a good portion of cd1 , and part of cd2, I can tell you it is a nice rip! ......This one and Insomnia is their best work! .......

...and I do comment from watching the CDs, not the damn sample files or jpgs......

i think it would be better to build groups up and get better quality from everyone than tear everybody who ISN'T centropy down.

HOWEVER... the sound and video quality of these svcd ts's has blown any other ts i've seen out of the water. when you watch these on your standalone they are great... considering the movie hit theatres the same weekend you watched it in your living room, which is what this is all about, isn't it? they are making better what before was pretty much junk. the (dvd)screener/dvdrip scene is great, but that's not exactly where we needed these technical strides. props to ctp for having the equipment and using it to advance the pir8 scene they way they did last month. we can only hope that other groups follow suit and start producing better quality stuff.

i have no problem 'wasting' the cds for a good ts release like the ones i've seen recently from centropy. it would be much cooler to see more dvd-r releases for the good quality movies. let's take this to the 21st century level. lose those old-fashioned cdrs and replace them with dvd-rs. it is where technology is going these days...

Get a Progressive Scan Apex at Sam's Wholesale for $120.00 to properly pump the SVCD to the HDTV.

You will love it.

This release actually isn't all that good, dont get me wrong, its a nice release. I agree with napalm, i don't think it warrented an SVCD either. Difference is i dont contribute to the s/vcd scene, so i don't feel im in a position to complain about what format the release is in. It's a much better release than the previous TS and so long as you dont think the movie sucks, like i do, then its worth the download.

im soooooo sick of hearing this ar bologna.... its in pal for a reason.... when u have a ts svcd u must have it in 25 fps 480 x 576 instead of 29.97 fps 480 x 480 or it will get all out of wack... they encode like tihs because they want us to watch the movie... not sit there and watch garbage... get new dvd players... for the record pioneer dv 440 wont play pal svcds....

I think ppl who complain about ctp releases should say they're very very sorry, cause ppl like you will make them stop wanting to share. Centropy has been at it for a while, and all though they do some time have small probs the general quality is so much higher than everyone else, so u really have nothing to complain about unless your a movie studio. They take risks releasing those, so if your not happy don't download. go to the movies and shut up.

SVCD's are the shiz, and I for one hope they are here to stay. MPEG2 kicks the living crap out of MPEG1 any day of the week. If you can't play SVCD's then re-encode to VCD. To do the opposite would not make any sense at all. These guys are now giving it to us at the highest level of quality possible. Isn't that what you people want? I know it's what I want. Maybe the audio doesn't quite warrant SVCD standards but the video quality is definitely looking damn well worth the extra megs.

P.S. I sure hope what OwNaGe86 said about CTP leaving the scene is BS. They raised the bar and I for one can do nothing but salute them for doing so.
