I Dont know they said this was nuked for bad AR but it looks fine to me and the previous version was nuked because it had spanish audio but nice to see Stinker come bak and give us a Repack tha same day

Video-8 (nice colours and clear)

Audio-7 (nice and direct)

Movie-Still Getting (scrapped svcd)

Common they could have atleast give shouts to FUCK for tha source they used

Ever came in your mind that they are the same team? :P

Posted by jimmy52 on 12-18-2005 12:09 PM:

na na Stinker are a group that reencode svcd's/vcd's into xvids So this release will be the exact same quality as fucks, just in xvid format.

Posted by WhiteNoiseMaker on 12-18-2005 12:31 PM:

so does the xvid version have the same problems are FUCK'S SVCD? i.e. video skips and jumps?

v: 8

Video: 6 (colourful and clear but unfortunately has enough ghosts to warrant exorcism) - The same video source as the G-Team release.

Audio: 7 (clear direct audio)

Think i'll wait for a better release, but a half decent effort by Stinker none the less.

This one is better than the FUCK release.

Posted by kathleenbilly on 12-19-2005 12:09 AM:

Watched this at last yes its watchable and given earlier releases very respectable.

OK there is still a couple of clitches where the video speeds up for a few sec's a couple of times in the film I noticed at least.

Apart from that its a good release. Love stinker Xvids they know how to convert correctly no f**k ups on the frame movement on the picture. A jerking look as your watching it which other groups seems to do on there Xvids.

So my ratings on this,

Video 7.2
Audio 7
Movie 8

For Stinker as a group 10/10 great work guys...''

Posted by DEMENTA on 12-19-2005 01:12 AM:

Nice release indeed This looks a decent amount better as a TS Xvid instead of SVCD. And as for the 1CD thing, that is actually an error or something here, because the actual release is 2CDs (1.4 GB) so dont worry, its not crammed on 1CD

Video - 8

Audio - 7.5

Movie - 9.0

viedo starts then stops for a second then starts again with both cds. is this happening to other people?. I am using VLC media player.

has this weired fast forward like glitch at around the 22 min mark and 31 min mark of cd1 but only lasts couple of seconds
audio on a couple of occasions has slight rustling for a couple of seconds apart from that a very watchable release

Very good quality. I am impressed. I have downloaded this version and it was two cds, not one.

video =7 very watchable, ratio seems fine, sharpen the picture with tmpgenc xpress & i''d give it an 8

audio =8 clear, no hissing, mono but bass & treble seem fine

movie = ?? judged from sample

respect to stinker, saw no lipsync issues .. this is also better than FUCKS version, go for this!!

V: 7.5 (Nice picture, a tad blurry and colours seem a slight bit faded.)

S: 8 (Nice clear sound)

Posted by minimeben on 12-19-2005 01:44 PM:

Just converted this to dvd and dare i say it this seems to be very good quality as always with telesyncs the darker scenes are always dubious but this isnt bad. Audio is very clear. And to top it off my missus started to cry at the end (shes never seen it before)

If i had to winge about anything it would be that in certain parts of the film the picture seems to be slightly blurred ( and no i havn't been drinking ) but this is nothing major.

Video - 8
Audio - 8.5
Movie - 9

This is in my opinion based on a Telesync release

Keep up the good work stinker!

is it the full lenth i get cd 1 at 1.30 and cd 2 at 1.17.
Any one watched the full thing yet?

Posted by kom4nche on 12-19-2005 05:28 PM:

the movie its complete

this version is from a PAL source, the movie in NTSC format at 23,976 FPS have a leght of 2hrs 54min, the same thing in PAL at 25.000 have a lenght of 2hrs 47 min

so this release is complete

Posted by Konichiwa on 12-19-2005 06:02 PM:

the whole fast forward thing was really fucking odd.
this is not direct audio! it is cam audio as u can hear at the 1st second of cd1, and throughout the rls with the hissing, static noise.
I say: NUKE CAM.AUDIO!
the spanish fuck up they did was direct, but not the repack.

Posted by b2d327 on 12-19-2005 06:55 PM:

8/7/8

Nice job. Picture looks as good as it does in theaters. I also noticed the jumpy scenes but it's nothing major. Sound is synced up nicely considering what some have said about the release before the repack; some hiss and rumbling at the beginning but once the film gets going I didn't notice it anymore.

Posted by perved on 12-19-2005 07:05 PM:

The release is lacking color as seeing this in theatres i know the sound is direct but the movie itself is missing scenes.

***** SPOILER ALERT *****

The one that stood out was after kong takes anne for the first time she stabs him in his hand with her necklace this release doesnt have kong picking here up and running away followed by jack and camp who then approach this location and carl observes the damage done by kong as jack finds the necklace with annes blonde hair except for this it is complete to the end sound get staticy in some parts but very good release otherwise

V 7.3
A 6.5
M 10 i loved it

Posted by Ash85 on 12-19-2005 07:18 PM:

Thumbs up

V=8 - could be sharper, wierd "fast forward" glithes as already mentioned.

A=8 - nice 'n' clear. and it is direct, anyone who claims otherwise must be deaf - "NUKE.CAM.AUDIO", wtf?!?!

M=8 - faithfull remake of a classic by Mr. Jackson. Great entertainment.

I doubt we'll see anything better before a screener or somesuch. Good one STiNKKER

Missing 18mins of footage. How much is end credits etc i don't know. I'll be seeing it in the cinema first.

Posted by Ash85 on 12-19-2005 11:16 PM:

Funny how ppl say this better than the FuCK rls because this is actually the same as the FuCK realese, same audio/video source. Same fast forward thing ect.

a:8 v:7.5 m:8

Posted by bottles on 12-19-2005 11:25 PM:

6/8/?

AR alittle out IMO, a little dark, colours a little washed out, a little blurry......nothing that can't be fixed though. Not seen fully yet but audio seems good. Surprised no screener yet given the time of year...soon maybe!

Posted by Konichiwa on 12-20-2005 12:27 AM:

dude, totally cam audio! listend to it again and it is still cam audio! good mic tho. could of used one of those sm50 mics that performers use on stage and shit.

Posted by Doomsdayer on 12-20-2005 02:26 AM:

A couple times in the movie it hit somewhat of a fast forward and another time it lost sound for 10-20 seconds, but other than that, its a damn good release!

Video: 8

Audio: 8

Movie: 10 - this movie was amazing! I mean I dont think action and special effects couldnt get any better...

A 9 (for a TS)
M 8 (I don't like the beginning.)

Posted by blah1986 on 12-21-2005 03:00 AM:

I was very satisifed with this film. In fact some of the best quality ive seen in a limited time period of release...BUT...Near the end of the 2nd disk, it froze for like 5-10 minutes.[Spoiler:] The scene when K.K breaks through the shackles and goes out on a rampage on the streets.[end] Now i tried two different DVD players, even my recently brand new dvd player for my computer, and yet still it froze and there was this gap. Furthermore, that just got me out of the rhythm and basically tuned out and because of the annoyance id have to say it was worth downloading, but id definetly go watch this in theatres if this is what happens. It just annoyed me. so i give this release:

Video: 7 ( initially i would give it 9 but u know)

Audio: 8

Movie: 9 (would have given it 10, but again the annoyance f**ed that up, the experience that is.)

Posted by lonewo1f on 12-21-2005 10:23 AM:

Yes this movie is missing 20 mins and no its not all end credits.

You've verified this? Its not from the PAL conversion? You saw it in theatre? What scenes are missing?

Posted by b_3 on 12-24-2005 03:19 AM:

I am aware that a few seconds of audio are missing (well, it went dead on my one for a bit). The movie (accroding to IMDb) is 187 minutes long, or 3 hours 7 minutes, the STiNKER version is 2 hours 48 minutes, so it is 19 minutes short. Very long credits, but untill some proof is provided scenes are missing I will just assume it is because so many people worked on the film it took a long time to list in the credits.

Anyway...

Video:

6 (but it sharpens wonderfully, I re-encoded to DVD using the AVISynth "sharpen(1.00)" command. Came out very well indeed, with sharpening would be about 8 - STiNKER/FUCK should have sharpened their source before encoding IMO) AR is also a little off, but again was corrected in DVD conversion.

Audio:

6 OK when its their, as said a few bits it drops, and crackles occasionaly, perfectly ok to listen to however.

Movie:
8 - Loved it

Posted by Wdad on 12-24-2005 06:20 PM:

Not sure about if there is/isn't missing footage, but based on whats here...

v - 7
A - 9
M - ?

Looks like it could have been a bit sweeter if they'd just gone for a 2cd xvid, not 1...

Posted by Konichiwa on 12-25-2005 03:32 AM:

scenes are not really missing, they are just fast forwarded in a sense.

I saw the movie in the theater and this xvid version is missing the entire scene with naomi watts escaping from kong after entertaing him with her juggling etc.... not important to the story but still one of the funnier scenes in the movie...
