my dvd player and svcds
it wont play svcds but it will play vcds
is this normal?
:: fairly. try the header trick (use search) or just reencode em down to VCD i guess. next time check the compatability list (vcdhelp.com) before buying
-pHo
when i search it kinda plays it but its either glitchy or has a big green strip across the screen
without re-encoding it.. im basically out of luck?
Yeah, some players just won't play SVCD's. Try and check out the header trick they were talking about. You don't actually re-encode the file, but rather change the header, tricking the DVD player into thinking that your SVCD is really a VCD. You don't lose any quality, and it takes no time at all.
header trick?
i dont know what hte header trick is... can someone either tell me what it is
or give me a site on what to do???
thx
u dont always have to make svcds, you can always burn the bin/cue files strait to VCD using a program called vcdeasy ( http://www.vcdeasy.org/ ).
my dvd player only plays vcd's as well..so i use this program it does a good job.
if you need help using it there are some guides on www.vcdhelp.com
good luck
