Review: The Matrix: Reloaded 2003

Admins: You can combine this with MG's orginal post if you see fit, I couldn't because it is locked, but now on to my little review/summary eh...

Spoiler Warning
Yes, they are here, so watch the movie first. you've been warned.

Plot: An army of sentinels is drilling towards Zion, and Neo and the gang have only 24 hours to free the mysterious key maker who can help them enter the door to stop the matrix.

Simply put, this movie is amazing. The special effects have advanced to dizzying new heights, this is especially evident in the infamous Agent Smith's Vs. Neo fight scene, which seemed to last nearly 5 minutes. The choreography and wire work is top notch, and more emphasis has been placed on martial arts rather than blazing guns (a welcome change for me). Another welcome addition for me was comedy. I don't recall laughing as much in the first matrix, but I almost shat my pant's when Link walks into his home and asks where his pussy is as his kids and wife look on. I wasn't really impressed with the whole sexor scene with Trinity and Neo, as it just seemed too fake to me, and come on the R rating is there for a reason, let the lads have a shot of Carrie's breasts. The highway scene near the end is absolutely fantastic, the FX in that are top notch and you get a real sense of speed in the 40 million dollar cement behemoth they've constructed. Another gripe I had was at the end of the movie with the infiltration of the Architect's building. It seemed like that was just rushed along quickly so we could get to the catchy cliffhanger. And damn, they seemed to fuck that up to, Neo goes into a comma from stopping the squidy's? Gimme a break. Anyways, I’ll be waiting for Revolutions, but until then I’ll go back to watch this a few more times.

Score: 9/10

::No, separate reviews are fine. Thus sayeth pHo. -K::

No this is fine...a fine review, but what about the scene where Trinity throws her helmet as a weapon.

Or even the freeway scene.
