post counter

Ok, i don't care for post counts neways, but this just seems a little weird.

How come i can come on the BB, read through a bunch of stuff and make maybe 4 posts, yet the post count only goes up by two.
Only just noticed, thought maybe i was breaking rules with posts and they were being deleted. so did a post search on myself.

I do believe, that once a thread is deleted you lose your "posts" you put into it. So, the forum may read 267 but you've only got 243 physically there.

i'd imagine when a forum counts each post as an individual count, that wouldn't affect deleted posts. in this case, you got a universal post count, one that applies for everywhere so they don't track it...it's one integer they record and "un-record" so to speak when they delete a thread :}
