new problem

i have been having troubles watching or codecs problem.
what is happening is i log on ,do stuff, as in whatever and i might decide to watch a video of internet.ala stream whatever....now heres what what my problem is...my computer for some reason is running good and i can watch streamsthat is say big brother...then i try to do the same thing the next day...and i can hear the audio....but not the video stream...this has been an on and off problem for the last two weeks...ive tried most avenues but im now losin the plot and my only answer in the past has been system restore....but fuck that....to me it seems like every time something in windows player wont show me video just audio...its on off on off...any advice ?

edit: damn my better nature! try vlan, a far better media player than wmp - it even plays bin/cue without needing a virtual drive. you'll even find x264 capability.
