use svcd2dvd myself...great piece of software....and i must admit, ive never had any problems with results on my pc....but my laptop is another thing.

If i do it on pc, no worries, but on the laptop, i get jerky audio. The pc has a 3 yr old burner in it (NEC +R/RW) and will only write at 2.4 max, but its never let me down, hardly ever burn stuff on the sony in my lappy, too unpredictable.

So, without going off topic again....it might be something in your new system that just doesnt like the software, dunno really. Will the resulting dvd folder play OK on your pc? My hunch is that its during the burn process. I reckon its a combination of your media, burn speed, and nero.

Try using DVDDecrypter (with svcd2dvd). Go to burn options and choose your burner and dvddecrypter, and choose quick dvd and burn. hope it helps.

right fella...first off. Get rid of nero...its crap. I either use Orlogix Recordnow Max (its fairly old software, but its never let me down), you can still get it from tucows

Or i use Padus Discjuggler, which can be found at the usual sources...

Besides that, all i can think of is changing your media. Either get yourself some grade A Riteks or Taiyo Yuden's.
