Education time

After finding out that Dwaggy was recently buggered to death in Litla-Hraun prison I decided to do some phd level research into Icelandic jails. I thought I would share my hilarious findings here.

There are 5 prisons in Iceland

There are 100 prisoners in Iceland

Litla Hraun is the largest prison

Hegningarhúsið is the oldest prison, it can hold up to 16 prisoners at one time.

Fascinating stuff huh. I am patenting this information so in the likely event that any of you are currently studying for your phd in the Icelandic penal system you must cite me as a source using the Harvard system of referencing or run the risk of plagiarism charges.

The longest sentence ever handed out in Iceland was 11 years. This was given to a 79 year old man for violently anally raping then eating the king of Icelands daughter.*
