1080p X264
Have you tried it? Does your machine have any problems doing it? What kind of machine? What other processes can you run while doing it? How much CPU/RAM/VRAM does it use?
I can do 720p just fine fine but 1080p I get chop and audio lag.
Specs of your machine, and what decoder you are using?
My dual-core Athlon 4200+ stuggles when using the Cyberlink decoder, but plays 1080p just fine with CoreAVC.
Intel 2.5 dual core, 2gb RAM, no issues. Mainly use KMPlayer.

P4 3Ghz HT. 4G DDR400 RAM.
SAPPHIRE 100228L Radeon HD 3850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP HDCP card
XP
Using whatever comes with CCCP. FFDshow, I think it is. Using WMP,VLC, and occasionally zoom player.
I will try KMplayer next.
Hmm your processor is old as fuck but I'd have thought the 3850 in it's h.264 glory would've taken the load off that. Maybe you need to set up the player to make use of that function?
