I'd probably pick Return of the King, though it'll likely be like The Two Towers, so I'd regret picking it. If I didn't pick that I suppose I might pick the Matrix Reloaded, though there are a great number of movies slated to come out this year that would/could be good...

Did I really even need to post? I think its mostly self explanitory that it would be "Jersey Girl"

Mine would probably be Freddy Vs Jason. Ever since that Friday the 13th Movie (dont know which one) where right at the end Jasons mask is lying on some dirt, and then all of sudden of Freddys hand (yes that hand) pops out of the ground and drags his mask underground and then you hear Freddy laughing, I've been waiting for this one.

It could have been Red Dwarf: The Movie, but this will now be coming out next year.

if i could only see one movie in 2003, i'd pick one which wasn't made in 2003 :P

i'd probably go for Dazed and Confused, just cos i love it so much

Red Dwarf: The Movie if it gets released this year! If not Freddy V Jason

Posted by horizonstar on 03-10-2003 09:01 AM:

Well, since Return of the King is coming out in December, I'll wait for the DVD Screener in Jan 2004 and see something like Bulletproof Monk or Charlie's Angels 2 this year.

Posted by memoman on 03-10-2003 09:48 AM:

i too am waiting for "RED DWARF -THE MOVIE". we will have to play the waiting game for that one.wondering if "THE CORE" is going to be anygood hard to say after seeing the trailer.

Posted by horizonstar on 03-10-2003 11:09 AM:

ooh, yeah ... The Core. I haven't seen much discussion about it, although I saw the first trailer for it almost a year ago. it looks like it's gonna suck and provide lotsa fodder for www.badastronomy.com, but i am hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

Posted by memoman on 03-10-2003 01:14 PM:

ihave only seen one trailer so far so hard to say.ilike a good scifi movie lets hope that it does not turn out to be a turkey.

I love that movie! I wonder if there's any plans for a special edition DVD as it's 10 years since it got released?

Here's hoping.

i'd have to see Return of the King, I would internally combust without seeing the saga completed

not likely im afraid, i read up about the dvd when it was first released, and the director wanted little to do with it, hence no commentry/extras etc. a shame, cos its a totally great film and i'd love a really good edition of it. i'd definitely buy it and force everyone i know to watch it when we get our RPTV next year

This is a tough one, Retuen of the King would be my first thought, Matrix Reloaded possibly, but what I'm really looking foward to seeing is Anger Management with Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson, it looks tailor made for those 2

Well, I'd really like to see Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, because it owns you and you knows it!

Failing that, The Matrix Reloaded and Revelations again, because as Andy Wachowski said, "It's all one big film," so it's valid to watch them together

Posted by thejoke on 03-12-2003 03:38 PM:

The Matrix 2 and 3, Terminator 3, Hulk, X-Men 2, Bad Boys II, The Return of the King,
Freddie vs. Jason, American Wedding, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, The Whole Ten Yards .....

Tough one...but i guess if someone held a gun to my head i'd choose, The Return of the King

Well a month or 2 ago i would have said Daredevil.

I guess its still Phone Booth. Its so tempting so watch it now....but.....but.... I really want to see this at the cinema!! I dunno. I got it in my mindset that the UK release was only a week after the USA one so i'd enjoy it on the big screen. Damn that pre!

Hmm... If i come on here tomorrow and say my one film is Bad Boys 2 then you know i've given in!

This is "the year of the sequel." Lol. Definitly The MATRiX Reloaded and Revolutions. Everything about the matrix roxmysox 'cept for the fact that Keanu Reeves plays Neo. I really don't like him. He's as dull and boring to watch on the screen as is listening to Kenny G. Ok...Then The Return of the King. It would have been one thing to have an ok LOTR trilogy, but to have a movie that's a big success, is nominated for Academy Awards, loved by almost everyone sane on this planet, I mean, I can't wait. I guess making 3 movies at the same time can be great, it's for that we know Return of the King will rock because it was made exactly how the first two were made. And no differences in the cast and all. They made the Matrix sequels at the same time, so if Reloaded sucks, Revolutions will. And if Reloaded is great then Revolutions will be great as well. I heard Morpheus and Neo will be flying along with the bullet time effects. Does anyone know about any plans to make "The Hobbit." It was a great book as a child and while the LOTR franchise (or should I say Tolkien franchise) is still strong, I don't see any reason why they won't. I mean, they're making sequels/prequels to everything, from Tomb Raider (which was awful) to The Lion King!

Posted by XTASY-Jones on 03-16-2003 09:54 PM:

I hope your happy for even asking this question, I got severe brain freeze trying to limit all the possibilties down to just one. And the sad part is I never did. I'm to much of a movie junkie. But I would have to be one of The Matrix movies definetly.

Man fuck u, id see over 100 movies this year. Theres sooo fucking many good sequels comming outs impossible to choose 1. Matrix 2 and 3, lotr3, t3, whole 10 yards, bad boys 2,freddy vs jason, and dumb and dumberer, plus all the new movies like the hulk, BRUCE ALMIGHTY (Looks like the funniest movie of the year), Anger Management, Daredevil(sucked) the hunted, bringing down the house, and soo many more, id like to see the chris rock movie too, i think its chris rock, comes out like march 28th i think can't remember wat it was. But if i had to choose, it would be Matrix as for ive been waiting for this sequel forever and they built there own fuckin runway in australia to film it so it must be KICKASS!

I believe it was Peter Jackson (though it might have been someone else associated with the LotR movie trilogy) that said if the trilogy does very well, essentially make a lot of money, then they will go back and shoot the Hobbit. I'm not sure if this is just a drunken boast or if this will really happen, but even if it does it will be several more years before it would even be finished. :\

Posted by exorcist on 03-18-2003 08:10 AM:

peter jackson said he will not make a hobbit movie. I can't find the interview anymore, but he stated that it probably would end up being produced, but he would not be the one to direct it, he's had his fill or something.

Actually theres an interview over at ign somewhere (or a snippet of an interview/newstory), that states that Peter Jackson would love to make The Hobbit but its not up to him as the film is not confirmed for production, and he will only make it after a well earned rest. Or something.

Posted by lenkun on 03-18-2003 11:18 PM:

I want to watch these movies too.
Last sumari
Matrix reload/revolution
Hulk
bruce almighty
Charles Angel 2
Star Wars Episode III
Return of the King
Finding Nemo
Bad Boys II
Terminator 3
2 Fast 2 Furious
Harry Potter 3, Goblet of Fire
The Mummy Returns Again
Superman
Catwoman
Wonderwoman

But since I had to pick on, then either 2 fast 2 furious or bruce almighty. Pirates of the caribean or Peter Pan would be good.

::U sure all those movies come out in 2003, i havent heard of superman,catwoman,wonderwoman..

you're referring to something earlier, which was still during the production of FOTR, the interview is was talking of was just pre-TTT

as simple as that, its matrix, dunno if reloaded or revolutions.

but its a gay topic, cos t3 bad boys 2, x men 2, 2 fast 2 furious, hulk etc are all great movies, so no way to pick one.

and daredevil sucked. another spider man, just with a better acter.

The question was If you could only see one movie..as in..whats the most important movie to you if you could only see one..no one asked whether you thought the topic was gay or not

and do you really think Ben Affleck is a better actor than Toby MacGuire? If you do then you are a bigger idiot than I thought..follw the rules or dont post

first of, i already replied to your problem in the other topic, but maybe i should reply here also.

it is my opinion, again NOT yours, what i think about an acter, ben affleck is WAY better than the toby.

that was the answer to the question of the topic.

and a line later i did put my opinion, and i dont think it did really hurt did it?

or are you one of the guys who has one rule: "my way or no way"

ps: how old are you?

Posted by petrocs on 03-27-2003 03:18 AM:

insyder19 you are certainly entitled to your opinion..

and for the record I am 29 whatever you were trying to prove with my age

Posted by CcZ on 03-28-2003 12:02 AM:

Yes, we're all entitled to our own opinion, but insyder, i think yours is pretty crappy! Ben Affleck sucks! This I wrote earlier about Ben Affleck:
Ben Affleck doesn't deserve what he has. He won, with Matt Damon, the oscar for best screenplay (Good Will Hunting), which was really written by William Goldman ("Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," "All the Presidents Men," "The Princess Bride," upcoming movie "Dreamcatcher.") So then Affleck and Damon got all these offers for movies (they can act, just don't like how they got started in the film industry) and now, look, he has J.LO!
Agree or Disagree, I really think Ben Affleck is an untalented actor. You can call him a better action star, but not a better actor! Tobey Maguire can act.

Posted by jedi420 on 03-28-2003 08:45 AM:

hahahhaha did he say that ben aflect was better? ahahhah omg ben should not be in any comic movies....well he shouldnt be in any movies. although i did like armageddon.

fast n furious 2 good? ahhahah it'll probably suck just as much as the first one.
