It was at 100% on Rottantomato.com it took a nose dive to 60% That's dramatic, It didn't get amazing reviews. Will find out tomorrow myself.

Heh God Bless America! They had a midnight show here, but my friend works at the theater so I had a theater to myself to enjoy it. Probably took a nose dive because people like simple and not to think while seeing a movie. They want their Brangelina and all that bullshit. Not amazing fight scenes and historical stories. Again I say amazing and quite a bad ass film!

Going into the movie today I knew the film wasn't historically accurate, But overall a decent film.

Not Amazing.

Sorry Blind it was a decent movie. But not as good as I was hoping. I hope my opinion changes after I see it again.

Oh finely avatared one. Would it be too bold to ask how this decisive decision on first viewing was reached? Saw the first third and even with ugly video it looked pretty good. Also watched the 1962 version with Richard Egan and there were a lot of similarities in story line. Is it all just a pile of pooh?

I haven't seen the original's, I didn't realize this was a remake.

I went to the theatre to see this on Saturday. I wasn't going to watch a shitty copy. I think what ruined it for me is the way it was stylized. I'm getting tired of it. It seems like every movie we watch now is trying to be like the Matrix. with the slow motion action.

Sin City was close to being original, This wasn't.

Like I said earlier, I liked the movie, but it wasn't as good as I was hoping.

What's good? Fuck staring at those awesome pex, YES, oh wait, here comes the 7,000th spear through the chest that doesn't show any more detail or blood or any sense of excitement, AMAZING

I don't get why people could enjoy this movie. Every time they slowed the camera down to let the audience know (because as we know, people must be retarded and things slown down so they see it better) that something good was going to happen, 85% of the time it was a disappointment.

The only reason I would assume that would be inferred from pulling the line about the athenian greeks being 'boy lovers'...which is much less of an offensive line and much more of fact that most were bisexual men, I would hope any educated homosexual person would realize that this movie was made by american film makers and even to this day there is a stigma about homosexual people in the military, it should be considered much less 'offensive' and much more 'realistic' (granted, realism is something this film played with drastically to begin with).

That being said, the entire movie is big sweaty man tits. Let me rephrase that, THE ENTIRE MOVIE YOU'RE LOOKING AT 3/4ths NAKED MEN.

She is straight. She says the levels of testosterone displayed in this movie will make the gays feel inferior.

This is her opinion, apparently a lot of her patients are from the gays. The ones she meets don't like being a gay, they have complained about similar films and how they make them feel.

Personally I thought the movie was quite fun. Since its based on the Frank Miller comic I wasn't really surprised by the style. Not an epic, but worth the muhla.

Historically, well, the enemies wheren't really that evil and I'd guess most of us know that.

Good movie. Amazing? Eh, maybe as far as how almost everything was CGI. Did have the graphic novel feel which is exactly were the story came from, not history lessons. Overall I recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys decent action flicks but I wouldn't call this an Epic Film.

Yes, but it was sped up quite a bit too, so it could have been a full length film, slowed down and sped up to make it equal regular length.
