i have heard that its nuked for being interlaced. lets hope for a proper

Posted by vip3r on 07-29-2004 12:53 AM:

And that nuke is correct. It's interlaced like a mofo. I'll try and wait for a proper *crosses fingers*

6/8/?

Ohhh .. and since the nuked said check rar09 of cd2 ( for the interlacing ) and there was a popup message on the bottom in big white letters saying "For Screening Purposes Only"

Posted by DarkkDiablo on 07-29-2004 01:10 AM:

if u needed to, you could always fix the interlacing in VirtualDub.

i dont download many screeners, due to the timers/watermarks/etc, but this doesnt really look like a movie i'd burn and add to my collection. i'll probably just get this, fix the interlacing, watch once then delete.

lol yeah his comment was kinda fucked up but you got to admit at times shit gets nuked for very minor or stupid reasons but one day these 13 year old pubesant teenagers will actualy stop getting hardons from what they precive as power from been able to nuke somthing and actualy justify the use of valuable oxygen they waste by breathing

for example some prick will probably nuke my post because of miss use of the sp ace b a r

well it was fun while it lasted i managed to keep my nose clean for a couple of years but new rules may mean i am banned

if not i was certainly skating on thin ice

No b&w changing, or serial #'s, just the "for screening purposes only" watermark, and it wasnt there much at all.
Hope that helps.
Wish they would have dropped the dvdr 1st instead of the svcd, but this was definitely watchable even with the nuke

How the can u give the video a 1? It's a dvdscr, maybe its interlaced and nuked but damn wtf! U gotta at least give the video a 5 or 6. Not even a blind man would rate the video a 1.

How can this be nuked? If it is a SVCD and it's interlaced then what is the problem. SVCDs are meant for playing on your TV and if you wanna play it on your PC just use powerDVD which fixes the interlace issue. What is the problem.

how exactly would someone go about checking a single rar (in this case it's .r09) file for interlacing

Posted by Dudi on 07-31-2004 12:35 AM:

Just finished watching the movie, I can't believe they nuked this..

Before watching the movie, I didn't know what interlaced means and after watching the movie I still don't.. Watched on my TV after vcdgear'ing it, quality was good, what was better was the movie.

Hope everyone can get this somehow, I had a hard time finding it myself.

watching it now on my stand alone DVD and it has a very good pic and sound. 8.5/9/9

Posted by Moloko_Plus on 07-31-2004 06:02 AM:

I Know this is going to sound stupid..But I just watched half the movie and i dont see anything wrong with it really. What is the official/technical/scene-standard definition of "Interlaced" referring to in this sense?
Point out is I cant really find anything wrong with it =/

Posted by weedchemist on 07-31-2004 09:15 AM:

not THAT bad

ok this isnt as bad as some have tried to make it, also its not as good as others make it, if u cant see the interlacing... well i dont know, must be my 35.99 dvd player but its not bad and its a documentary, its not gonna effect the info at all, u may get annoyed at 4-5 times during the movie, then again i burned to disk... any way 6/9/7, very watchable but i am voting against most dvdscr so that is warranted, either way this is worth a watch, may not be your bag, but it is important stuff...

:: ppl were talking about the interlacing, and theres a perfect pic of what that is.. saved mpt dvdscr pic, look at the dudes head, any1 said this pic is perfect isnt looking, but it isnt bad, just not right... i watched on 13" and 36" diff dvd players, and its there...

Posted by Koolice on 07-31-2004 07:00 PM:

I don't get why this is nuked, i burnt it to some CDR's watched it in my dvd player, and looked perfectly fine, it actually looked great. Shouldn't be nuked.

Posted by sprax on 07-31-2004 08:50 PM:

Great release

Flawless picture and sound, "For screening purposes only" came up 3 times and didn't last long.

The movie was a good laugh and not one sided at all.

Perfect Picuture and Sound. Extremely happy and suprised. Excellent screener quality. Near DVD except for surround sound. Should not have been nuked. I would have never known its "interlaced" or whatever its called. The rules should state: if it at all effects the quality of viewing, then a nuke can take place. This release had NO EFFECT on quality viewing due to "interlacing"..

Great release guys! I rarely eat fast foods anyways, but now Im glad to see it out in the open.. Too bad people are so ignorant that it wont help..Hey, its your body, not mine...do what u want..and suffer the consequences..Just as bad as being an alocoholic..

Great movie that explains a lot of shit of which that we should already be aware.

Flawless pic, flawless sound.

I need to watch this every so often, as it not only picks on the fast food chains, but some of the horrid shit we eat even at home.

Posted by Moloko_Plus on 08-01-2004 05:57 AM:

Im never eating any fast food again, oog..I never ate mcdonalds, the occasional burger king, but nah..
Great movie, Great encode job, i still dont see the interlace..=/

If you liked this movie check out the book "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser and "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair, both are great dealing more of this subject of the meat packing industry, inhumane conglomerations, etc.

Movie: 10
Audio: 10
Story: 10

If you read those you will probally turn vegetarian.

I have no clue what interlacing is but based on what I've heard this release is fine. I've already started it and dont feel the need to wait for another release and start over.

Looking forward to the movie, looks halarious but yet truthful.

Posted by polel on 08-01-2004 11:19 PM:

Video=9; audio=9; movie=8. There are no problems with this release. The NUKE is unnecessary. As said before, the only unavoidable complaint is the "For Screening Purposes Only" popup. Converted it in TMPGEnc Source Creator with Faranheit 911 and burned both to DVDR. Played excellent on my TV.

Looks good, good movie.

Posted by jrw on 08-02-2004 04:42 PM:

I dont see any interlacing problems whatsoever , this is a great quality release ,watched it from begining to end and looked fine on my hdtv running it through my xbox.

9/9/9 - Very interesting documentary, Everyone should watch it

heheh a crazy holic, lets compare apples to apples though...

6/8/x
watched the first disc so far, I can see the dubious "interlacing", but I'm not too worried about it, gonna watch this dvdscr & burn the pending retail....

Posted by Jassll on 08-03-2004 07:09 AM:

Video - 8/10 - good, clear, no reason for nuke
Audio - 9/10 - good and clear
Movie - ?/10 - havent watched it yet but looks promising

It seems like no one really knows what interlacing means? I've seen it asked on here and no answer. I looked at this release and found nothing wrong. Thanks HafVCD.

Posted by Jassll on 08-03-2004 05:54 PM:

This release is nuked for being interlaced. Alot of people, including me, didnt know what it was since this release looked fine.

Defintion of interlaced:
Interlaced scanning is a method of displaying an image on a cathode ray tube like a standard television (not an LCD or plasma screen.) An interlaced system alternates every sixtieth of a second between showing the odd and even horizontal scan lines. First it will show the odd lines, and then one sixtieth of s second later it will show the even lines, so every thirtieth of a second a complete image is created, giving a true speed of 30 frames per second.

Great Release

I burned and watched on my standalone dvd player. The "for screening purposes" logo popped up 5 or 6 times, with no scrolling. Excellent quality.

8/9/8 Movie was very interesting. The guy was actually pretty funny.

great release, lamest nuke i've ever seen.

no interlacing on MY pc, i watched the bins, pulled the mpegs off and watched thru wmp, vlc and powerDVD

AND watched the burned thru my dvd player.

so maybe i just dunno wut interlacing is, i'd have to assume from this release, that interlacing means the quality of the movie kicksass and no need to nuke.

I can't remember when i've seen another dvd screener come out that fast with no b/w and no scollers, just screening purposes only for maybe 6 or 7 times at the bottom of screen, don't even notice it.

Halfvcd you rock, and SCREW the nukers

I have to agree that the nuke for this movie was very unecessary. There are other movies out there, cams etc, that have very poor quality and don't get nuked.
In my opinion
Video- 9 perfect on my home DvD player
Audio-9 Sounded good on my kenwood
Movie-10 Have to give it a ten.I will never allow my kids to eat at Mcdonald's again..ever.

Posted by Miller on 08-12-2004 05:17 PM:

not a bad rls video wise. audio on CD2 is interlaced which sucks. but as people have said their is programs that you can get that can do deinterlace on the fly . movie seems interessting but i haven't watched anything other then the sample
