Wow damn nice job still give props to vcdistro for a nice pre-realease but this is way better! This is nice and light colors are nice you can actually see everything in the picture great job uti!

just seen the sample... very clear, brightness good but the contrast is a tad dull. the sound is just above average, just sounds a little wierd to my ears but that could be my earache

Excellent release guys! Wish I could get my hands on the SVCD encode, but the VCD will do. Props to VCDistro for the early release and props to UTi for this great TS!!

I've said it before and i'll say it again. UTI always delivers on quality.

Now if they only did more releases the scene would be a better place

UTi should definitely release in SVCD. Everytime I see a UTi release I know that the video is going to be really fucking good. I think they should do SVCDs for the public. Good job with this release, UTi!

i signed up for this forum just to give my opinon on this release. so here we go. the pic on this is very good but the sound isen't the best i have heard definatly worth picking up though. great job UTi. now for svcd or vcd, well the truth is there isen't much difference and it would probabaly be better if TS just stayed vcd. centropy did svcd just to show off that they could get away with it when in reality if you encoded those releases down to vcd the quality was exactly the same as the svcd.

UTi For as long as they have been around, have released quality to the scene... Not the Fastest, but quality...Only if they released more often, Also please dont include how u are going to 'Grab this movie' cuz honestly nobody cares.. Lets just keep that to ourselves and comment on the quality/sound... which looked good from the sample.

I think as long as you can keep it to 2 CD's (Not because Im too cheap for 3 CD's, because I think 3CD movies dont fit well in my book, heh) then go with SVCD. The smallest bit of extra quality is worth the extra size. Well, maybe the people who have to get shit from DALnet might not agree, but I say SVCD.....

MY VOTE:

2 CD ---> svcd, definitely
3 CD ---> vcd

Most of CTP's complaints were based on the fact their releases had 3 CD's (Unfaithful, etc.) when they could have fit it on 2 CD's. But if the release can stay at 2 CD's, I'd much prefer SVCD.

pic quality is top notch for a ts
sound is also pretty good
if you guys are trying to decide between staying strictly vcd and svcd
ill would rather see svcds
quality imo is much much better than vcd
forget all the complaints just do your thing and do your best

but i would like to recommend you guys try something landmarking
cvcd
if you guys encode to cvcd instead of svcd now that would be amazing
in my brief experimenting with cvcd the quality is much better than svcd and some how its much more easier to encode

If it fits on 2cd's, why the hell not. i got an apex1200 player for $69 that plays ALL svcd's i have thrown at it (no xsvcd tho), and who doesn't have at least a 1.5mbps line now? I mean even if it increases the picture by only 5% , it's still worth it. Theres no reason to keep to old formats Why not bump it up?

I managed to get SVCD copy and it looks alright, I will have to compare the 2 releases and report back on my non-biased opinion if it is any better at all

So UTI's are as good as CTP's?

I have not seen a Centropy SVCD release in weeks and I am really getting ticked off at the ftf and such, sound is choppy and they have been cutting scenes in some of the propers and internals I mean why bother, even if they are free? What I am wondering I have not downloaded a UTI release yet, are they as good as the CTP's? Are they all VCD format? I viewed the VCD of Road and the sound was chopped up so bad in the openning where he said what year it was I was left clueless.

This is an excellent re-encode. The quality of the picture is head and shoulders above the previous release. I would give it a 7 for video and a 6 for sound, because even though it is only the first 4 minutes, you do miss a couple of important things...like the year the show was in since it cut out right as the kid was saying what year it was But seriously, the sound is fine. This one is definitely worth watching...and the movie was outstanding...a 9.

As far as SVCD vs. VCD...if you guys want to do an SVCD encode then go ahead. If you decide to do ONLY SVCD like the other guys did, then people may start to have a problem. Me, I don't give a rat's ass. My Pioneer will play almost anything I put in it

OK, well, I'm getting the VCD version right now, can someone tell me if this version is as good as the SVCD version but one disc less, or should I stop right now and go for the SVCD? Please let me know, I hate when there's 2 rls's of movies at the same time. From the same group....makes it more difficult to decide.

man i cant find a sample of this anywhere. what s the difference in the internal and proper? just mpg1 and mpeg2? has anyone seen both the releases yet that can comment on the differences quality wise?

The audio does have fuckups in the first few minutes of the film, But it clears up and is a nice release, if you really have a problem with it..get a fucking job and buy a ticket..Props uti

Just finished watching....

Spent the whole damn day watching ALL of the new shit and finally got a chance to watch this one. First off, big thanks to UTI for this and all other releases.

Well worth the d/l time if your not to anal about quality, in addition to being an excellent flick. Good points; the whole movie is intact with no logos, not cropped to high hell, does not contain a shit load of macro blocks, synced audio and did not notice any video glitches. It does have the audio drops in the first few minutes and does give a few audio cracks here and there throughout the film. The only other dislike was the brightness, especially at the end where you find it difficult to see what is happening, but like the audio issues it is brief.

Just a side not related to this release:
1. Could we please stop comparing the groups? ANYBODY who takes the time to release deserves some form of appreciation, even if you think the release sucked. Offering praise to a release in fear of a group halting releases just goes against the point in even posting a review. Or worse, flaming others for giving a proper review!

2. I just wish that people would STOP posting messages that have not even taken the time to d/l and watch a movie in it’s entirety. If you want to bitch about someone’s comments then post a review then gripe and try to be civil. We have people giving there opinion on what? A jpeg or some 2 min. clip? Get it, burn-it, watch it and then post. Or worse yet, the individual who just gives you a movie review! Worse then that, the movie review with spoilers!! Without any mention of the quality of the release. Take the time and read through the posts, how many are actual reviews? I wish that every release had a double thread, 1 for actual reviews and the other for anything else.

If you actually read this whole thing thanks for reading! If you want to flame me for MY opinions could you do so with a proper review of this release?
