Just watched the sample.

Video is very watchable. Sides havent been cut off too much and the colors are nice and vivid.

Audio is excellent. Slight hiss, but TOTALLY clear and watchable.

Props to FTF for the quick release, and the nice quality.

Sad to say that most people dont like Star Trek. I give FTF props for releasing it atleast. Great film and i hope Star Trek lives on I bet all the Star Trek haters are Star Wars lovers. I dont hate Star Wars infact i like it alot. The funny thing is most people who dont like Star Trek have never seen a TNG Star Trek movie, most people think of Mr.Spock,Kirk and Dr. McCoy from the old 1960-70 Original Star Trek show. This new Star Trek movie has tons of action and expense, it has to be the best action oriented Star Trek films in recent years, Better yet the best Star Trek film since Star Trek 2. Iam going to end by saying WATCH THIS STAR TREK MOVIE!! YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!

P.S I have to give FTF props again for being the first one to release this great epic of a movie.

I saw the movie in theaters last night. Thought it was going to be an action film, only action parts were during the trailer. Big let down, and a waste of $9. Few funny jokes, but not worth the $9 i paid.

Missing some of the sound during the battle scenes. Not silence, but some of the background sounds are just gone. it's kinda odd. not that noticeable though. still a good rls for the earliness

nice ftf rls too bad im not up on the whole star trek movie thing never seen a sing star trek and dont plan on it just wanted to say this is a very watchable rls

Haven't dled this yet(will wait for better quality) didn't vote on it yet (no need to vote for it... I didn't see it) but all the ppl rating the movie low are probably not trek fans. I am a Trek fan and a Star Wars fan. I like all sci fi basically. I do plan on seeing this in the theaters though. if you aren't a fan of the series don't even bother dling it.

FTF nice job get'n it out there. From watching the first cd it looks ok. Sound seems a bit weak at points w/ a bit of a hiss and the video pixelates a little bit but nothing serious esspecially for a speedy FTF rls it's good qual.

I was wondering about the missing 5minutes at the end, if some else can comfirm aXs-SVCD it would be appreciated.

Do me a favour.........visit your local Cinema............take a Mini-DV Cam with you..........get a better result and upload to your favourite IRC channel or ELITE website...............lovely jubbly!

I repeat and will continue to say that if you don`t like the quality of VCD/SVCD/DVD releases then fine........pay for them.......take a walk and go to the shop.............you pays yours money and takes your choice.

If any member has the balls..........to actually release a movie.........that would be great.......if not.........then.......please take a good look at yourself and say.................yes I am a member of the BEST VCD group and wow........I can take a DV Camera into a Cinema/Theatre and make a better release without poor audio/video etc.

Every single release from any group............deserves a medal in my book........don`t like it..........tough!

Jez you need to chill out. A lot of us add to the scene in many ways and dont just leech it. Plus this is a place to find opinions along w/ the good things and the problems with rls since most groups dont put the flaws in the nfo except TCF which I give props for standing up and put'n what they messed up on in the nfo.

Thnx to all the groups that rls, I've been there and it takes a lot of time and work which is gr8ly appreciated. We just rate it and if your truthful w/ yourself you know when you've rls'd a sub-par copy so...

nice earlier release, barely watchable with fuzzy sound and pic is tooo dark......... if you really need to watch it try to get a new source or go to theatre!!!

This movie was ez'ly watchable, picture is a bit dark/light at certain points of the movie but the crispness and quick rls make up for it by far. The sound does hiss but it's minor and quickly ignored, it's the spots were the audio goes dead for a few second that causes the lower rating from me. Movie its self is only OK (maybe b/c I'm not into the trek series but...)

- Jez I personally wasn't complain'n just commenting on the rls plus most ppl using this board would be hard press'd to even do the encoding half of a rls (Not including most of the posters) I also wasn't tring to imply that you are a leech if thats how it was taken. I'm with you on the fact that the ppl that are always negative or bitch at the rls group b/c of qual should try and do it better themself but most of us just comment on the quality to inform others.

P.S. If you dont like the rls/group quality dont just say it sux say why it sux so it might help someone else to make a more informed decision, otherwise keep the bitch'n & moaning to yourself.

c'mon people. this release sucks. Just watched it - not the sample - and it blows. Looks like a CAM too. 3/2/? from me.

The video is ok in parts but very dark. The sound is tinny and the music seems totally wrong. I'm not sure is this is just the quality or if music has been dubbed over this film?! Some of the "action scene" music sounds more like an 80's porn film. It's very un-star trek like.

Also, what's with the initial title sequence? It doesn't even seem very professional and there is no paramount introduction.

I'm pretty new to VCD's but this doesn't seem like the final version of the film? I may be wrong, I'm sure I'll be bitched at

It seems that everyone whines over FTF releases. You got to give them credit they beat a path to your door and deliver first. I like some of the stuff that the other crews do but it takes time and when I want to see a movie now FTF is always there and I thank them. This one actually has decent quality on both video and sound. Deffinetly worth the watch..

_____I have seen the whole thing and not just a sample. The quality is not that great. It is watch-able but at times it is very hard to see. Do not judge the whole movie's video and audio based on the sample. That sample is the best scene from the movie and does not truely depict the quality of the whole film. Please do not rate this if you are just looking at the sample.

I agree with jfred.... After watching the whole movie I must say that the quality is not that great. The sample is not a true representation of the whole film.

Not a bad release. Colour is good, not blue like many FTF released. Picture is a bit blurred, but watchable. Audio is pretty good if you fiddle with the treble & bass settings. I'd say this one was worth the download.

i think this movie was totally watchable. it was never hard or difficult to follow what was going on, the picture to me was decent. the sound was ehh, missing in places and just weird in others. i am a star trek fan, and to me, this pre rls was not disappointing. kudo's ftf.

Why does FTF even bother

Why watch a movie in such poor quality when groups like TCF and UTi exist. The release quality was sub-par (typical FTF).

I do not want to waste my time when better quality movie rips exist. I will watch something else and wait for a good release.

Terrible

Not impressed at all, was really looking forward to this movie, since burning it on CD, I threw it straight in the bin ... oh well, let's hope a better version comes out soon
