Byebye CTP copy. Hello TCF SCR!

Near-flawless video and audio. Nice clean sharp picture too, but then, animation always is.

havn't seen the movie so dunno what to make of it.

Isn't the beginning missing? The movie starts with Nemo & Dad instead of Marlin (Dad) and Coral (Mom) pre-credit tragedy.

Just an observation not a complaint

Posted by Crack104 on 08-07-2003 04:24 PM:

Yet Another Fine Release From TCF, Quality is pretty good for a scr - 8.0, Audio Is Not That Bad Either - 7.8, The Movie is pretty good if your into all that animation and stuff - 8.5

Keep the good work up TCF!

Great quality have to give this 9/9/8

one prob is'nt the first part of the movie missing

where Dora and Marlin are going over there new home and

Dora apparently is eaten by the barracuda ?

Posted by GeNeTiX on 08-07-2003 06:46 PM:

super! too bad about the beginning being missing. perhaps its not going to be in the retail version, and i never saw it in the theatre, only CTP's release.
This release is typical TCF screener. they dont get any better.
the sample looks a bit dark, but if i remember correctly, that part of the film IS dark. great sound too.

Tradgic...

Such a clean sharp pic. Too bad its missing a big part of the movie at the beginning. Starts after Nemo is already hatched and starting his first day of school. Great job capturing this one TCF. Keep up the good work.

If a vhs screener can't get any better than this, then why didn't you give it a 10/10? ;P

Posted by SBrooks1 on 08-07-2003 08:25 PM:

How can you give this release anything other than a poor score considering the beginning is cut off?? Who gives a shit if it looks and sounds good if part of the movie is missing?

still gonna keep my centropy copy! its still good, no need to grab this since the ctp kicks ass and it has the entire movie not like TCF who cut 5 min off

5 mins of the beginning has been cut off but overall the movie is good.....like what everyone else says the video and audio is superb!......keep up the good job tcf! u own in screeners =)

Posted by Chewsmoka on 08-07-2003 10:53 PM:

From Sample

Video : Great quality here as you would expect. Pixilation and blur is almost nill. Fullscreen with no counter? I'll take it!

Audio : Good volume balance, clear sounds, no hiss.hum.buzz.

Based on VHS screener, I rate this movie highly - TCF seems to have perfected the art of VHS Screeners. Very well done!

8.5/8/7

TCF you are the kings of screeners. Well Done.

good point!
i said that, meaning that screener releases dont get any better than TCF!
Not that this release deserves a 10/10/
a 10/10 rating would make it look like im sucking TCF nutz.
Almost.

Giving 10/10 is saying there would be no room for improvement. The fact that this release is missing a major part of the movie bothers the hell out of me. To not find out any of the brief history to me makes this film imcomplete and worthy of a nuke. I'll keep ctp and wait for retail. What a waste. And I like TCF a lot. Oh well, f-it

8/9/10-4 = 6 because missing beginning

Yes it should have, and this angered me, but I got over it.

Really great release...but the beginning is so essential to the rest of the movie. If the beginning were just some fish swiming around I really wouldnt complain. But the rest of the movie refers back to that 5 mins in the beginning around 8 times. Really tremendous quality...but I'll stick to my centropy copy.

Posted by lickmyzack on 08-08-2003 02:21 PM:

Finished checking this release out last night... I really don't see what's so great about the quality, slight motion blur during some scenes, and you can tell it's not from a original screener.. in fact it's not a screener at all, looks more like someone tapped into a Hotel Pay-Per-View and copied it, that's most likely why there are no Watermarks or counters... when have you ever seen Disney release a screener that doesn't have them?

Video Quality is fair.... for what I think the source most likely is.. it should have been better.... I've seen better telesyncs.

Audio is nice though....

7/8/9

Posted by bigb1979 on 08-08-2003 03:05 PM:

This has to be a nuked released...

O.k. the video and picture is so great....... But if something is missing is has to be nuked...

Imagine someone cut off the head of the Mona Lisa...

But anyway... best release of the movie so far.. good job on that

Thanx

Posted by Jc100 on 08-08-2003 07:55 PM:

The movie itself isnt cut. The pixar short is. I wonder why tcf didnt include it, unless it only makes it to retail dvd in extras. I hope someone gets the short lol on this. That was one funny short. But movie itself isnt missing 5 minutes, the short is missing. <_--------------I FUCKED UP. IT IS MISSING SHIT, I WASNT CAREFUL WHEN I CHECKED MPEG. I SAW OPENER AND SCROLLED REAL FAST, I WAS TIRED. SORRY. PERSECUTE ME..

Posted by Infinity on 08-08-2003 11:19 PM:

Great picture and sound, but the begenning is cut - as several other users have mentioned.

Posted by jrw on 08-08-2003 11:39 PM:

You guys overhype releases like no other , the video quality on this release is GOOD but not *that*great either, its got a slight blur to it and 5 minutes of the f*cking intro are missing , I nuked this one off my HD quickly ..Centropys release is still #1.

just my .02 cents.

Posted by mastermynd on 08-09-2003 12:12 AM:

The short is cut AND the beginning of the movie is cut too. Download only if you mind the missing beginning, it is a pretty crucial point in the story.

8/8/9-4 (missing beginning)=5

Uhhh.. have we been smoking something ????

There's nothing missing??

How about the first part of the movie that sets up the whole story?? Where Nemo's soon to be parents are excited about getting a new home.. and they are looking over the eggs that are going to hatch.. the father wants to name half of them Marlin Jr. and the other half Coral Jr... at which time the mother says she wants to name them Nemo, and he tells her she can name 1 Nemo.. and then the Barracuda or whatever it is attacks them and when Marlin wakes up the mother is gone and only 1 egg remains.. which he decides to name Nemo.....

Pretty big piece of movie missing... maybe not 5 mins.. probably 4 & 1/2

The short was a 3 minute feature before the movie started about a snowman trapped in a snow globe....

This release should be Nuked for being incomplete...........

It is missing the beginning. Short is not there, but who cares. I downloaded for the whole movie not a partial. Nuke.

Posted by basslin3r on 08-09-2003 02:48 AM:

its decent but not much better then the ctp, is the source really dvd?

: no, its not.. thats why it says SCREENER and not DVD.. sigh.. pHo. :

ause it still looks washed out in the bright sections. other then that a good release sound is great mainly.

Posted by spaceboobies on 08-09-2003 02:49 AM:

Huh?

What kind of people release a movie with the first 10 minutes mssing???

I'm sorry, the video and audio quality are great, but the release is totally ruined for me.

5/5/9

Posted by The Booker Ma on 08-09-2003 03:55 AM:

The first 5 mintues of the movie have NOTHING to do with the movie at all, except it explains(if anyone was asking) where nemo's mom is.

The movie is not better/worse without that part. I dont know why people are bitching SOOOOO much, when it could have been much worse.

10/9/8

Screeners dont get any better than this. Not a single watermark to boot, and full credits.

That's such a sack of horseshit comment. Screeners don't get much better than this? Of course they do. They have the entire FUCKING movie for a start!

Actually it has more to do with it then that. Thats why Nemos father is so Paranoid to let Nemo go out into the open sea or leave his side.

I agree in that being an important part of a movie. Maybe I'm wrong.

As far as the quality goes, I agree Screeners/Captured films don't get any better then this. Wether it was captured from PPV or not, the next best thing as far as quality goes would be a DVD rip. Just pitiful they missed the first 5 minutes, which would usually call for a nuke. Maybe its because it was in the beginning rather then the middle of the movie that it wasn't.

Very good quality for VCD (MPEG1) but it better be SVCD (MPEG2) and it's not. I'm wondering why didn't they make it as SVCD? Otherwise - it's realy great job. Thanks TCF!

Posted by XboxFreak on 08-09-2003 08:28 AM:

OK, just picked this up and watched the first CD, very dissapointed that the first 5 min are missing when Nemo's mother dies. Should be nuked for that!! I'll stick with CTP release since its full and also has the short before the movie starts. Too bad actually becuase the quality and sound is awesome but missing the start of the movie really screws this release up!

Posted by Whitesnow on 08-09-2003 10:38 AM:

Fine job TCF did on this one. Too bad about the missing first 5 min.
I think there is some missing also right after Bruce the shark throws the torpedoe into the mine field....

so the wife tells me at least

Guess have to wait for the dvd rip

Posted by Melioone on 08-09-2003 02:18 PM:

I'd say.... NUKE!
The first 5 minutes is fundamental to the whole story.
yes fundamental.

Loved the movie, if you want the first 5 minutes wait for dvdrip...

I reviewed this second time when i was tired. I just burned it and began watching on my dvd player and was like o shit, it is. My fault. You may stone me now = / sniffle. I hope nobody takes your post seriously. How could anyone say that a short intro that gives such a foundation of the whole movies has "nothing to do with the movie at all."

No flame here, you should just read what you write before hitting 'submit reply'.
