quality of the movie is a bit dark but non the less its watchable..the audio is ok aswell....but the movie is not that great........

anyways props ftf for a quick release!

Posted by capturia on 05-31-2003 05:54 AM:

Forgot to add the samples sound sounds a little bit better. Picture is acceptable since it is a pixar. But the high pitched sound will still make me wait for the next rls. How many of us are over 20 and still watch these pixar movies?

I don't mind this release being a SVCD. This is because, and despite the fact that the quality increase isn't that drastic between VCD-SVCD, it's a 2 CD release no matter which format. If encoding this as a SVCD would make it 3 CDs, then I'd be bitching.

edit: I edited this post after K did just to add a sentence which was accidentally removed and makes my post make some sense.

sample rating:
not what you would expect from FTF
sound is a little echoey, but not too bad.
I was hoping that fish was gonna die.

sample looks decent....7/7/x

Posted by t8yman on 05-31-2003 09:51 AM:

sorry for not rating it but.......

I am wondering about this "missing ending" bit, is it just the traditional pixar "out-takes/credits" that are missing, or is the actual conclusion of the film missing too?

Posted by (s)vcdman on 05-31-2003 10:17 AM:

Props to FTF for the quick release.
6/6/?

Posted by aTTicA on 05-31-2003 10:21 AM:

umm i could be wrong but i think that means: finding nemo *its missing the ending*.. concidering its not a proper or a repack.. they just changed the release name to *missing ending* i do believe that just denotes that the ending is indeed missing

wow good for FTF big time.

"umm i could be wrong but i think that means: finding nemo *its missing the ending*.. concidering its not a proper or a repack.. they just changed the release name to *missing ending* i do believe that just denotes that the ending is indeed missing"

I don't know if thats sarcasm or not, but I thought my query was quite reasonable, the nfo doesn't state how long this rls is, it quotes 101min which is the imdb stated runtime, I want the release for my daughter, and really dont want to have to explain why the last 15-20 minutes are missing, if it literally freezes the screen or whatever just before the credits roll, then fair enough.
They didnt change the release name to *missing ending* on the svcd encode, obviously its from the same source, but the nfo just says "we apologise for the missing section".

I'm just rambling, if I got you wrong aTTicA, then I apologise, I may be a noob as far as posting to this board goes, but I'd like to think I know enough about the scene to know if I'm asking a stupid noob question.

omg this is one of the most fuckin worst released movies ever! 4 peeps

::Sounds to me like the people mentioned in what i edited (since it has no bearing) are just dumb.. dont think it has anything to do with FTF -FuzZ::

Posted by younpadawan1 on 05-31-2003 04:03 PM:

Just to clarify, the ending is there on this release, i'm sat here now watching the credits so the release HAS been fixed. Looks good for a first release of the movie but then I'm a sucker for Pixar movies, hehehe.

Posted by P0rnIsG0oD on 05-31-2003 04:07 PM:

The ending is not missing, the first release they did of this it was but this one has the ending that's why the released it.

Posted by Cal2002 on 05-31-2003 08:25 PM:

file doesnt work with vcdgear

has anyone actually downloaded the movie not the sample?
I have clean download with no rar errors on unpacking.
Vcd gear encodes properly from bin to mpeg but when I go to
file it just has the bin and que file folders like it hasnot been converted to mpeg yet. Although it has.
WIERD. never had this problem before.
Am I nuts.
Thanks

Sample looks good on pc. Dont think it will hold up on the vega though. good effort. Fast realease

COme on simply the best! Centropy cant wait for yours!

1900k CBR

FTF was never much of a VBR Multipass SVCD group. It could have looked a lot better with more passes.

Posted by mag22 on 06-01-2003 04:48 AM:

Okay... with so many smack talking "top site" studz around here, why hasn't anyone addressed the missing footage issue? The nfo says "missing footage". It doesn't say how much or where in the movie, so if someone could simply watch the clock or set a timer we could get an idea of how much of the flick isn't there. 101 minus XX minutes. Not too tough. Thanks.

Posted by TReX_Vanquish on 06-01-2003 05:11 AM:

From the sample

6/5/?

Probs go take my little bro watch it (thats my excuse to go and see it lol)

Because you didn't read this thread. As youngpadawan said a few posts before yours, the NFO was referencing to FTF's VCD version of this. The SVCD has no missing footage.

How are you going to explain to parents/neighbours/John Law when your daughter goes to school/friends house and says "My Daddy let me watch Finding Nemo on the TV last night"

Kids talk, watch your back.

Lol Very True!!!! I've had this happen with my little brothers, I'd bring movies over for them and they'd tell all their friends, make copies, etc... My parents got some calls over my brothers showing "Jackass" to everyone. They weren't very happy with me. I"ve since put the fear of GOD in them about that s**t!!(although i did that origonally when I bought them the dvd player) anyways kids are kids and there isn't anything you can do about it! They're going to brag to their friends.

"Well officer, kids do say the darndest things"

Posted by dopeuser8 on 06-02-2003 01:55 AM:

watched the whole thing, and just to confirm, yes this is complete, its not missing the end, and I saw it in theatres too so I know...
and the quality is better than I thought, especially compared to other ftf svcd ts. Not great, but I wasnt expecting it to be.
and IceShark: after I burned it, before I deleted the bin/cue, I converted it with VCDGEAR, just to see if it would work, and I got a good mpeg file with no problems. bin/cue -> mpg , make sure 'correct mpeg errors' is NOT checked, and under options, make sure 'disable mpeg splitting' IS checked
and maybe just cause Im a dirty Canadian or something but where Im from all "My Daddy let me watch Finding Nemo on the TV last night" is going to lead to is people asking where they can get a copy from for their kid

Posted by your name her on 06-02-2003 02:01 AM:

finally watched this

video is nice..mostly cuz cartoon ts's always are
audio is bad hard to understand, kept having to turn up the volume
movie is pretty good

***All Video/Audio info based on sample***

5 - Video was tolerable, but not for my taste (especially since it is a pixar production)

4 - Audio had a very noticable hiss, below standard.

8 - Went to the theater to see the flick, very touching heart warming story. It will be included in my list of Disney's modern classics (maybe you have to have a son like me to feel this way)

Props on the early release.

::**Sorry, this was based on the VCD version, not SVCD**::

Posted by sherl0k on 06-02-2003 03:57 PM:

watched the sample, i'd say 7/6/?
as long as it has the ending i'll be happy. nobody else has released yet, so this will have to do for now.

Posted by XeroFightsAlo on 06-03-2003 07:57 AM:

i was going to download the vcd version but this one's AR appeared to be fixed and the ending was actually there. only thing wrong was the video quality, it world have been better it they''d released re-encoded repack of the vcd because the svcd suffers from severe from major macro-dom.

what the fuck, this shit is horrible, its the same fucking source, it only comes off as decent cause its a fucking cartoon, basically, you can still see the dark corners even wiht the premiere bars put in, and the blocky squares in the center, nice job fixing the quality of a source that was already bad, even the hollow sound from treble cuts proves this is more cam than ts.....boo, im out finding nemo

Posted by Healey on 06-03-2003 11:47 PM:

Corrupt Header?

Only with this one release do I have the issue... all other rar's on my machine work ok..

The main rar extracts fine, but then when I go to extract the r01, I get this error message popping up for the .cue file & then for each subsequent rxx file.

Expectedly, the .bin file is unusable. I've trying this on 2 separate d/l's - the 1.3 gig both cd's in one, & each cd separately.

Any ideas on a fix would be greatly appreciated!

cheers!

Posted by Thorn Badhouse on 06-06-2003 09:07 AM:

Not bad.. maybe I'm burning wrong?

For the most part I didn't mind this.. but the first 5 or so minutes the video is glitchy as hell... I burned using Nero 5.5.9.14 after extracting with WinRAR 3.2

After the excrutiating view of the first 5 or so minutes, it was very watchable on my PC with PowerDVD XP. Sound not bad.. Video ok.. Movie ok..

5/5/6 from this Noob - I don't have kids so I couldn't rate it higher as far as the movie itself goes

Plays fine on my comp, using powerdvd. If the releases you have are tmd ones or of kazaa they are probably fake and you should be slapped in the head with a wet sock.
