i never heard of this movie but it seems big, the plot sounds stupid though, or maybe i just don't get it. the picture is good, tad grainy but a nice pre, sound is sort of hollowish but it is scratchy like cradle 2 the grave and dreamcatcher. Overall id say damn nice pre and release. 7/5/x

Ya, Colin Farrell is a good actor. Did any of you watch the Golden Globes btw? It was sooo funny when he was lookin' down Beyonce's breasts! Anyways, the release looks pretty good. The picture is clearer than most ESOTERiC's and I'm glad that the sound is audible. Camera stays pretty steady and gets most of the screen too. I'm gonna say 6.5/5/? on this release.
I'm glad Schumacher is gettin' back to his old ways. (making movies more like The Rock and less like Bad Company) I live in DC so I guess it was good that they postponed this, the movie would have bombed and Schumacher may have never been able to make a movie again. (Bad Company bombed, two bombs in a row, doesn't make you look too good)

Nice 3 week pre, and the quality isn't too bad.

There's alot of macroblocks on CD2... but overall good picture.. audio is a little bit hollow... the movie itself was good. i knew the voice of the of phone booth guy sounded familar! He plays in one of my favorite tv series...

Surprised alot of you havent heard about this movie. It has been delayed ever since the sniper terrorized the Virg and Wash areas. The movie company didnt want to release a movie about a sniper during or shortly after the many deaths that a real life sniper was causing in the USA. Good choice in my opinion....it would have been insensitive to release such a movie at that time.

FANTASTIC. I'm watching it now & don't see any real flaws here. Two major pre-releases on the same day, both high quality?! I've never been an ESO fan, until now. Major props & thanks. Along with the return of you-know-who, the scene is looking very strong heading into the summer. 8/6/7 (so far).

EDIT: Watched the whole thing now-- apart from some nasty glitching on CD2 (not my machine), it stays strong throughout. And there's even a few seconds of credits. GREAT JOB. Very good movie.

This movie looks great and I am watching CD1. It is great. No desynchs or anything of that sort. Sound is a little low and hollow, but definitly watchable. 7/5/?

video - was fine clear and all but cd2 had some glitches minor i say the kind of glitches as if your cd had a scratch or so but i didnt burn it watched it though xcard so it is their fault not mine i thought the vid was fine i liked it

audio - audio was clear didnt have no probs except with the same time as the audio glitches

movie - movie was great i though it would be longer the idea was great right in ny was pretty cool

Nice rls. A little dark round the edges, but still looks great on the TV. Audio is a little strong though but nonetheless still good.

Nice Release. Vid was good, sound was ok. The movie was pretty cool, there were a few glitches but it was totally watchable.

Pretty good for a pre-ts. This one has a little bit duller colors than Dreamcatcher in my opinion, but it is still good (haven't seen disk two yet, I will vote then)

Video - Pretty good. Definately acceptable for a TS. More so for a pre thats at least a few weeks early. Got no damn clue for a definate release date. Im sure someone does... Id go 7

Audio - Cd1 was perfect then cd2 just never played well at all in my Norcent Player. I ignored the macroblocks but the out of syncness for me was almost not tolerable. In general tho, its was very decent. 7.

Movie- Such a weird concept for a movie. Its one of those movies that doesn't really have a part where you can go and take a leak without pausing it. Its a good thing to have. Evereything was interesting and entertaining and I enjoyed it alot. I went 10 as its the best film ive seen so far this year.

Very bad encoding at very important moments in CD2. Overall a decent movie and certainly a decent TS for pre, but encoding made big blocky digital bullshit at end of disk 2.

Very sweet quality video & audio to bad for the VERY annoying glitches on cd 2, was a big dissapointment, personally I give it a 4/8/9, if it wasn't for the glitches it would get a 7 for video but there are so many and quite big to :/ Still enjoyed watching it tho

Definately the best movie so far this year, with Equlibrium a close second. Would not be surprised to see this being the overall best movie this year.
Video/Audio has already been discussed in the thread, CD 2 is glitchy, but not as bad some people have made out. Video is above average, audio is a little hollow.

MOVIE: it was a dope movie....i wanted to pee so bad but i didnt want to pause it!....screaming my ass off saying RUN!....one of the best movie i've seen...about the killer....he's dope!....that fool can sure talk his ass off though with no bluff!.......the only thing weird about the movie was! killer walked right passed through 4 swat team and fool was carrying a long rifle case.....stupid!..very stupid!....

plus my woman KATIE HOLMES was in it....always gotta see her!

Good quality, quite a few glitches throughout but nothing too major - still remains watchable. Audio is fine for a TS. Movie is short but great.

the problems with the glitches is, they're mpeg errors, so they have a tendency to cause bad playback afterwards on some DVD players. i watched thru tv out so didn't make a difference to me, apart from the slight irks of em.

as for the quality? decent enough for a TS. clear sound , nice pic, decent amount of screen and a clean letterbox, can't complain. as for the film? as kickass as i thought it would be. more of a great idea than a true film, theres no real plot changes or twists, its just good to watch. rating : A.

Great Movie.

Video: Good picture sharpness, colour was a little low but decent. Only problem was on disk 2 with a bunch of glitches which is annoying. Seemed most frequent during high action scenes so maybe the encoder was multitasking while he made the vcd. 5.

Audio: Clear and fully understandable which is the important thing in this movie. However a little tinny and bad dynamics ( i.e. some background sounds were louder than they should have been ) probably an artifact of normalization. 7. (PS I'm not sure because I reencoded the movie before watching it but the audio glitched along with the video when I watched it.. could be because of the reencode but maybe not. If it was the source then knock 2 points off and make it an even 5)

Movie: Absolutely fantastic. Colin Farrell is amazing as his character and thats mostly what the movie is about. You can hear his Irish accent a little bit, its not as blatant as Bullseye, but its there (that probably is less of a selling point if you arent Irish, but this is my review). 9.

Glitches...yes about 10 of them throughout the 2nd disc as been stated

Movie kicked ass though 9 out of 10

A bit late but oh well. I just wanted to say that the glitches really arent that bad. If you added them all up they would only amount to about 1 minute. They dont take away from the movie or ruin it.

Sound: Good for a TS, a little low, but no problems really 7
Video: Good, picture is straight, a little greyish 7
Movie: Movie was good for taking place in a phone booth, heh. 8

wow, this movie blew me away.

It's not the best movie I've seen, however based on the previews I saw, I expected it to be absolutely terrible.

The ESO release is definitely good enough. The sound might be a little hollow, but in a movie that relies almost entirely on voice, that's not a problem.

The glitches on CD2 are annoying, but they definitely do not make the movie "unwatchable". There is one glitch toward the end of the movie that is a bit frustrating, because it occurs right at a very climactic point, however it's still easy to tell what happened.

Even with the glitches, I'd gladly take a release of this caliber over three quarters of the "telesync"s out there.

This one resembles the Dreamcatcher ts a lot, not very colourful but good video, sound is very hollow but audible. cd2 is littered with annoying sound and video fuckups, but its tolerable. As for the movie, it KICKED ASS.

Worst movie ever!!! F'n horrible. Had people over to watch it, the movie had so many flaws.

GREAT RELEASE THOUGH! Fast, uber-early! Excellent quality.

Wow! Great flick. Quality is a little dark, but good quality. I'll probably go see it again in theaters and take all my friends with me.

picture is pretty good little dark though. sound is barable but tinny and can get distorted when lotta ppl are shouting i.e hooker scene.

BUT the worst thing about this is there is a glitch that happend right at the most tence and critical part of this movie. i had no picture only sound for it... i had some issues with dling it so that might have casued it...but i dunno... it just freezes on a picture of a building in the last few scenes of this movie... did ne one else get this???

mine frezzes right at tha end when he's gettin into tha ambulance. man i was pissed cuzz like u said it was tha most critical part of tha movie. does any1 else have a copy like this?

Amazing movie..

Like most people said, the glitches are kinda annoying, but very watchable. The movie is amazing, only problem as said before is one of the glitches happens at a very climactic scene. Sound was good, a tiny bit scratchy at one point but I'm assuming it was my shitty speakers

The glitches unfortunately do get more frequent at the more defining moments--I assume it's the higher intensity of the camera/actor motions. Keifer starts sounding like he's TOTALLY losing it, spewing and choking up and gurgling, and starts sounding like the Mars Attacks aliens. It does smooth out before things get anywhere near unbearable. Also kind of funny, with the subdued colors, when he's standing against bright colors doesn't Forrest Whittaker look kind of like he's in black and white?

I thought the movie was badass... Few glitches, not that annoying.... Little dark..

I watched this movie twice and I just wish I could count on all Telsysnc's coming out like this one. Thank God my Pioneer DVD player was able to handle the glitches on CD2 with very little interrruption. Yeah - It was just a little annoying, but very watchable.... my wife didn't complain, and she even wants to let her brother borrow it. Now, that's saying alot.

Generally she won't even watch movies with me if they are flawed in any way- she's a great critic - to her it's simple, it's watchable or it isn't. she could care less about what group put the movie out

So, other than the few minor glitches, this was an enjoyable viewing experience.

Overall, I was very pleased with both the picture colors and sound quality.

The picture was clear and sound was audible.

There was room for improvement in the sound, but it was not bad at all. IMO This is was certainly worth getting.

The movie itself was also pretty good. If you pay attention, you'll see that there are a few different story lines going on in this movie. The ending was a nice surprise.

For those who are wondering, NO - I do not post very often.
However, I check the board often and.. YES - I do read your posts.


My advice, get the movie.

Pretty nice release for a TS...it is just a tad dark, but very watchable. The video is great (I almost mistaked this release for the recently released screener of the movie ) and the audio is nice too. I haven't watched the whole release yet, so I cannot comment on the movie itself. I give it a 7/7.5/x
