Can I get a compare on the video to Ice.Age.The.Meltdown.2006.CAM-PRiDEVCD which came out first?
PRiDE's video was excellent for a cam, but the audio was well CAMish. PreVail didn't rip off PRiDE's video did they?

Which rule in particular are you whinning about? Just asking for a general opinon from someone thats seen both releases :P
I have seen the sample on this one, but its too hard to tell from that. Video and audio looks good though.

Please all newbies STOP Messaging me asking when you can download samples from or where to get the films from. i DO NOT give out this information. Thanks
just out of curiosity.. why is this marked down as 1CD? or am i missing something?
As prepped - Disk 2 does not play in standalone player - needs attention
cropping isn't too bad, but the flicker bugged me too much to watch more than the sample. it kinda throbs on/off every second.
sound is direct, but hissy.
get it if you really really can't wait.
6/6/?
video would be a 7 or 8, but ye-gads, the throbbing....
I'm kinda disappointed with this release. For an animated film the colors look like crap (the CAM that was done has better colors!). Also, the camera has issues focusing throughout the film. Most of the film is kinda blurry to me...
Video: 6 (i've seen MUCH better animated TS's)
Audio: 7 (it's direct, but it could have been done better. scratchy at the beginning)
Movie: 7
I hope someone else does an Internal TS or summin'

I don't know which PreVail Ice Age 2 YA'LL are downloading... But the one that *I* downloaded has solid sound, vivid colors and MPEG2 through and through! Not SVCD per-say but MPG2.
Second disk is reencoded DivX... Its kinda hard to miss the watermark.
But with all that said...
V: 8
A: 8
M: 8.5
This will DEFINATELY hold you over till the DVD.

A = hollow 6

M-9 Great family movie...
it's showing as vcd in iso buster but when extracted it's showing as mpeg2 with gspot.... weird.
Not bad, looks good because it's an animation, sound is not to great.

Good morning, Campers.
Just My Two Cents...
Audio - 6 - Sounds like the same static FM crap that was on Madea's Family Reunion that PreVail did. Come on guys. I rather hollow sound than static. Hollow I can still tell what they are saying. This, drowns them out. Props on the release, wag-o-the-finger for the sound
Video - 8 - Video, however, was quite nice. Nice picture (someone said dark, wth?). Didn't notice any glitches but, I do blink sometimes.
Movie - 8 - As funny as the first one (you bet he judge of if that's a GOOD thing or not). John is hilarious in this movie as he is in about anything he's in. luckily, i didn't have to be the creepy 28 year old going to see the movie at the theaters by himself to watch a kids movie.
Overall - Get this release if you really or just kinda wanna see it. If not too interested in the movie, you're probably not getting any release. If you're semi interested, wait on a better release. This will only make it worse for you. So, not a bad release overall. I'd download again.
Very Nice 8/8/8

v - 7 dark around edges
a - 8 good direct, a hair bassy in parts
m - 7 good family flick
Bloody awful!
The only thing it has got going for it is the quick release!
V 5 cropping (but to be expected) keeps going in and out of focus, very washed out, cd2 wouldn’t work on my standalone but worked on the xbox (good old xbox) not what I would expect from cartoon/CGI flick
S 5 buzzing sound all the way through, doesn’t sound like direct audio TBH!
M 8 not as good as the first but still good had a few laughs!
Just my 2 pence worth!
Kudos for the speed of the release though!
I'm having issues with the second disc, mostly skipping of 3 of 4 players I've used

Back to the days of the hard of hearing jack if you ask me and these have obviously been done better before. Really noticed the framerate issues later in the film...thought it was just my eyes at first.
Well I saw the xvid of this, and I was pretty happy with it, the audio at the beginning is admittedly bad drive in audio (you can hear the fm static), but it does get better (or drown out) as the movie progresses. Im not a kid so I really only enjoyed the squirrel? chasing the nut around and getting hurt. But it wasnt a bad movie, just really short 1hr 20mins? heck without the nut buisness it woulda been 50 mins or so... not quite a movie in my eyes...
8/7/6.5
decent 7/8/7
i dont understand, but the second cd wont play in my standalone player (philips) when it plays vcd 2.0 no problem, but this realse second cd only wont play, also when i try to load the cue file in FireBurner it says "Error in Command Line" but nero loads it fine, does that have anything to do with the cue file? im confused why this second cd is having problems playing when i bought this standalone for playing vcds/svcds/etc... any ideas anybody?
thank you

Not bad and quite quick to release. Video is quite watchable, little blur and momentary out of focus. Audio is good, not great though. Sounds direct, maybe "FM" source. Some hiss and hum at the beginning, but not real noticeable during the movie. The movie itself was disapointing. It had it's moments, but it doesn't live up to the first one.
OK, to avoid confusion on the number rating, I'll give you "both" standards which are being used here:
#1 Overall rating (compared to DVD)
V=5
A=5
M=6
#2 As a "TS" (compared to TS...duh!)
V=8
A=7
M=6

I downloaded both this release and the Xvid which are the same source as mentioned. Even the nfo for the Xvid thanks Prevail.
Video is blotchy in many parts, too dark in many parts focus issues in many parts. I think people voting are forgetting what animations usually look like. Madagascar was close to as clear and colourful as a screener as have been most animated films. This one is washed out and lifeless in the colour department most of the film.
Audio has the annoying hum and is very cannish sounding.
Movie was just flat out bad. Scrat was funny to watch, the rest of the movie felt like a documentary with a little action.
V:6
A:5
M:5
Played from the computer via Xbox to my WS, don't know about svcd/vcd problems.
Darken the brightness a little, looks good. Not surround sound, but sounded OK. Movie funny in parts, still better than most anything on TV.

Well I for one care! It won't play in any of my standalones. Me thinks it need a repak for SVCD. That's what the NFO stated, and that's what we should have. Should be Nuked for improper coding of second disk.

a/7 v/7 m/7 good ts nothing compared to maven but i cant complain, not a great sequel, but ok.
Hi! This is my first post, so I'll sorry in advance if my post is in the wrong thread! Can anybody tell me if an 'SVCD' image will play on a normal DVD player, or will it need to be converted?
Thanks.
5/4/5 sound is hollow and light and the movie is dark and blur
still able to watch..
Goes out off focus for a few seconds (cant remember were).
Audio static at start but goes away.
And because it is an animated film it looks bad because you cant appreciate the special effects. When the screen is almost all white (=snow) it gets very bright and hard to see what’s going on.
Quick release and watchable
