Have only skimmed thru CD1 tho.

Yes, it's dark, but so is the movie.

Good job ALL GROUPS WHO HAVE THE BALLS TO DO THIS. If your a complainer then bring your video camera to the theater and risk your ass and prove that your better... odds are that yours will suck worse... but PROVE ME WRONG..

I dunno about this one, I love centropy but this has far from impressed me.

Video seems to have a little more vivid colors from sample, still just as block as MPTs.

Sound same annoying hiss.

exact same ratings as MPTs, im gonna grab this just cuz its CTP but as others have said this is pointless to get if you have either MPT unless u just want it cuz its CTP like i do

Video: Slight Motion blur with colors OVER-saturated, not a sharp picture at all
Audio: Could be a very good cam mic, has a slight hiss which is god awfully annoying and since they took a sample of only dialog, I can't comment on the dynamic range

yeah i dunno about this release, the sound is way too hissy to be rated a 7, it sounds cammy as well, video is good tho, ctp shows they can encode well, but even filters couldnt eliminate the annoying hiss. will prolly watch this, even though its not up to par with ctp.

after watching the entire release, the video source CAN NOT be the same. It might still be a CAM, but if you adjust the sound on your computer a little bit, the hiss seems to go away ... for the most part anyways.

I've watched the MPT copy, the HafVCD copy and the BAHA copy ... you can't clean the video source up that much, no matter what group you encode for. No matter how good you are. This is a different source of video ... if I'm wrong, prove it ... I wanna see stills

7/6/7. It is great to see you guys still releasing vcd. Not a usual CTP but good enough. Movie wasn't the greatest

How about we all forget who released this and lets get on with how it looks and sounds. To be honest, I could care less if my gradmother made this with a damned cameraphone, this is still the best release of this movie to date.

Is there a hiss? Sure, but not unbearable like other releases.

Is it the same source? Who gives a shit if it's an improvement?

My guess is that this is the best this movies gonna get until screener or dvd, so if something about this release is pissing you off, then get your lazy ass up, clear the damned cobwebs out of your wallet and pay to see it in the theater.

i see some of the insults here, and i laugh...this isnt what its for. anyhow..the rls looks about the same video wise as the rest, and thats not from samples, thats from viewing pleasure...audio is better, reminds me of scorpion king ctp rls...for all you OH SO FAN CLUB members. anyhow....the movie is dope but corny, mainly cause of the comic book bantor. if anyone was a fan of the comic and knew of the great length the author went to, in order to make sure the story wasnt jolted too much in the movie, would enjoy it...if not, then you would see it like most people saw LXG, aka Disney's X-men....but thats all opinion, not review really, some fact....now to what people go on this site for, reviews..not flames..if you want those, check in your panties...

I don't care if this is Centropy or fuckin Old Mother Hubbard. Check the sample again. Shame on you Centropy, this is the exact same source as the other 90 jillion releases before it, just run through a few filters, yadda yadda yadda.

The same flicker is there. The same (albiet reduced) hiss in the audio. On a side note though, whats with that fruity C3PO thing? This movie looks smelly.

anyway, this is ok. to my eyes, the angle says its a different source, but hey, i may be wrong. thats the great thing about not being a stuck up asshole like most who post here. i can appreciate when ANY group does ANYTHING for the scene.

best of the releases. thx ctp and mpt. for decent svcd telesyncs..
ctp is definitely from a different source and more vibrant. And whats this about a hiss. I'm not hearing one. Maybe some of us don't really have this release. The sound is fine to me.

Don't look forward to anymore releases, this just might be the final one until a screener or dvdrip.

video is good for a ts in general, but a little below ctp standard...audio is quite ok, but not as good as i expected from centropy.

and then there's this whole fuzz about same source and shit...but why not make it a PROPER??? just to get rid of the bullshit...

anyway, thanks all grps out there, without you we would pay several bucks each year just to find out if junk really is junk...

Dunno what all the fuss is about, this is definately watchable. Maybe slightly too much colour/saturation but I'm colour blind so what would I know? Audio is decent enough, yes it's got a hiss but nothing that will annoy you for longer than the first 5 minutes.

:: Edit - Just finished watching it. Decent enough flick I suppose, basically another superhero movie. It had some fairly funny parts, the humor is fairly dry throughout and Hellboy himself has some good one-liners. The film also boasts some decent CGI, it's a pity the same can't be said about the Animatronix, which are generally poor throughout the movie. The plot is basic to say the least but it's a fun movie I suppose... Oh, and I was right about the audio not spoiling it. Towards the end "something" seems to obscure the very bottom portion of the screen and doesn't budge but it's no biggie.

Overall: 7/6/6

I liked the release, but not he movie. Vid was good on my 27'' tv and I realy didnt notice the hiss. Must be my old age . didnt like the movie , all the good parts were in the trailers. I hate when they do that!

Video is clear and has color.. audio is clear as well.. i read someone said there's a hiss.. I AGREE in the beginning when the title screen starts.. but once you're in the movie, you don't hear the hissing anymore.. yes, it may exist in the background, but it's not a loud hissing where it ruins the movie.. you barely even hear it, even with the volume turned all the way up...
I thought movie would be good, but too much talking and not enough action.

but it is a ts....you can't expect dvd quality from a cam with direct audio and you can't compare a ts to a dvd rip......for a ts it is good.......most likely the hiss is from the audio source where it was filmed

This movie just didn't excite me... Anyway, i made the mistake of bothering to watch the far worse HafVCD rls a day to early However, nice to see CTP back in the TS SVCD scene, that VideoCD has been so dominant in.. Its not the worst, nor is it the best from our friends at CTP, but like a said b4, its a 100x better IMOP than the crappy cam jobs as of late.. The sound has slight his but almost unnoticable in this rls. And the Pic is a lil Dark, but easier to see and movie is dark to begin with.. I just didn't find this movie very exciting... Good SVCD TS welcome back CTP Thanx, but i'm good till screener at least on this movie...

Mystic Slippers is just being picky, this is a nice release.

The picture is better and clearer (though it's still quite dark) than the other releases. Sound is nice and you can bearly hear the hiss anymore.

Movie wasn't too bad, either was the release. The sample got me worried about the sound, but on standalone it was great. I didn't hear any hiss during the whole movie, don't know what some people are talking about.

video: 6, anyone giving it better than a 7 is a ctp fanboy. During times it showed some pixelation, and overall wasn't very grisp.
sound: 6, no hiss, no major problems but it was hollow
movie: 6, not as good as i was expecting. Like mentioned, there was way too much talk. Parts of the movie made no sense and i was getting lost.

Overall release is very watchable and a good job by CTP.

Watched this on my big screen, very nice work, didnt grab the other's releases so cant comment on them but this movie was very watchable and enjoyable:

Video - 8: I didn't notice any pixelation, there was a slight blur towards the bottom of the video near the end of the film, tad bit dark, but not unbearable

Audio - 7: Very slight hiss, unless your being anal and squeezing your eardrums to hear it, you can't...but the hiss drops the points :\

Movie - 8: Really enjoyed it, good action sequence, and the nazi's really did seek mythical artifacts during their regime :\ so its not a plot pulled out of Mystic's ass. Little corny but lets face it, its a comic book flick, you all knew what you were getting into when you downloaded it, if its not the next Schindler's List don't bitch and give it a freakin 4...

the sound near the end of cd1 gets all desync'd, for me anyways, and a couple times i couldnt understand what they were saying..

a lil blurry at times.....and cropped...but all in all its the best release so far....

watched this on the TV last night.

Overall it was quite good, I don't know what some of you people
are complaining about. Can't hear the "hiss" in the audio
when coming out of TV speakers. The Video is sharp and colors
are decent given how dark a movie it is to start.

I think most of it is just people "hating" centropy for no reason.
Like shatner said to his nerd following.. "PEOPLE..GET A LIFE".

If you want it to be a 10/10/10, wait for the DVD.

Just enjoy any release that hits the scene, did it cost you anything to watch.

I agree this is a very good rls. Better than ctp The Passion of the Christ. Audo is clear and so is the video. I hope ctp keeps it up and hopefully gets even better with their releases again once movies like Kill Bill vol.2, Troy, Harry Potter 3, and SpiderMan 2 roll around....

made the mistake of watching the HafVCD rip just before the centropy rip came out. so that slightly tarnished the movie.

this rip suffers from the same problems as all the CAM's in that there is still an audible hiss, although its not as prominent as the other releases.

video - nice, best so far, more than watchable, maybe a a tad dark

audio - hiss is less defined but still present

movie - i wasnt impressed, i expected a lot better from Guillermo del Toro and frankly i was dissapointed, paticularly after all the hype thats surrounding this film. was good in parts but some non-sensical moments (such as where Hellboy is chained for no apparent reason) left me slightly bewildered, but a good action flick for a lazy afternoon.

I thought the movie quality was great and Audio was great also, but i notice the odd LOW volume in some scenes don know if was them talking softly or if the volume was actualy lowered

This is the best copy of them all the video and audio are great!
If anything, the video is a little bright in some portions, but this was worth the download.

V8/A8/M? (didnt finish all, but looks better than I first thought)

Overall, I found it to be definitely watchable although a tad dark in spots. Good fluid video and not too blocky or pixelated. The slight hiss wasn't terrible, I kind of forgot about it after the first few minutes of the film. As far as the story goes, I'm not a big follower of comics so I just about turned it off after the first 20 minutes after feeling like the plot was too lame to bear. I'm glad I kept watching though, because the storyline grows on you and I came away having thoroughly enjoyed the flick overall.

I must admit, after seeing Centropy's "The Passion of the Christ", I was hoping that all their releases from that point on would be as crisp and clear. "Hellboy" wasn't, BUT.....it was still very good. Colors was a bit over saturated, but I'd rather have it like that any day of the week than to have the colors be UNDER saturated, which is always the case with Logistic. Audio had a slight hiss, but not enough to take away from the enjoyment of the movie. Even though this release is not quite as clean as what some of Centropy's past work has been, it is STILL MUCH better than what many groups put out on a regular basis. I'm a Centropy whore to the fullest, and I'm NOT ashamed to admit it. If I'm gonna be a group's "bitch", then at least I'm gonna pick a group that puts out among the best releases that are out there.........LONG LIVE CENTROPY!
