DVD Playerz.....Info requested

i currently have an aiwa dvd player that plays just vcd's i got it a few months ago....and when i went fer it i had went bak and forth from the store because i bout 3 differant Apex's none of which played vcd or svcd. i need a new one because my converting of the svcd to vcd's with the header trick isn't werking and i don't want to lose quality, so now i'm wondering wut to look for.....will some companies not put that they play vcd but say svcd...or that they play vcd but in fact plat both svcd n vcd? and will they put that it plays niether? please help...i'm tryin to find a cheap dvd player that plays everythin i need for like 40-60 bucks....any info would be apreciated

Goto Vcdhelp.com and look under dvd players, it gives price ranges, compatabilty etc. and 40-60 bucks is really cheep, spend a few extra dollars and get a decent player.

Get a Mintek 1600 it plays everything you can buy them at best buy for about $59.00

the trick i always use is bring a vcd and svcd to the store and test out the dvd players. That way you know it will play them and the people working there think you are god hehe.

all the dvd players at the store are never hooked up....i brought onez wit me the otha day when i went to CC to buy one and i asked if i could play a movie n they sed the thingz weren't hooked up

Has the model you are speaking about, but it doesn't say anything about SVCD, have you tried SVCD?

It also doesn't have a lot of the audio options.
