Pioneer DV-444

Just got this sucker and let me tell you it freakin' rocks the socks off any dvd player i've ever seen. It's got progressive scan and mp3/vcd/cdr/cdrw/svcd playback. I LOVE IT.

Pioneer !!

Totally Agree !!

I bought this player about three weeks ago, I bought the
the silver version, its amazing, it plays everything I could
throw at it even my DVDR - which I had four vcd movies
on one dvdr with menus, played them just fine..

best points are:-

1. Plays SVCD's
2. Plays Mp3's - sounds excellent through Home cinema amp
3. Plays CDR/CDRW's
4. Very quick loading times, insert disc - loaded
5. Very slim (Slimmest) player yet !!!
6. Multi region
7. DTS

Its awesone...

If you haven't got a player, or you are thinking of changing like I did to this player - go out now.. standard RRP is around £200
for a multi-region player....

PS. Anybody interested in starting up a forum for this baby !!!

Good player, but the progressive scan is a joke. (read review sites for more info)
Don't buy this if you want a budget player with progressive scan. Do Buy it if you want a good budget player which plays every compliant vcd/svcd/dvd.

Yea, I don't think the progressive scan worked with my Hitachi Ultravision tv
