I have a good standalone, but i wanna get another one thats costs cheep and has good compatibility(sp?) to take up to the cottage. I know apex's are cheep and can play lots of stuff, im looking for something preferably under $100(Canadian). Any help is apreciated.

Any cheapo Apex from Walmart or a Norcent DP-300 should do you just fine.

I suggest the Apex AD-1500 or 1100 series from WalMart. They are both anywhere from 50-80 dollars depending.

I have had no problems with either, read my post on "Which Apex to buy" for specifications/problems/resolve with both models.

I have the exact same one and it works like a charm...plays everything I've thrown at it except for DivX of course.
