More Hannibal

I put this alone in its own thread cause I wanted a poll..

Are you excited for this?

The Young Hannibal Lecter Emerges

The Hannibal the Cannibal train just won't stop. Even though Lecter creator Thomas Harris hasn't even started writing his next Lecter novel, THE LECTER VARIATION: THE STORY OF YOUNG HANNIBAL LECTER, producer Dino De Laurentiis says it will be made into a film. The story will look at Lecter at the age of 12, 16, 20, and 25, tracing his life from his childhood in Lithuania after WWII to his teenage years in Paris, and ultimately his arrival in the United States in his twenties. "Lecter was born into a very rich family but the war destroyed it and killed his parents," De Laurentiis said. "He was left with his sister with whom he had a very close relationship." Anthony Hopkins will likely not appear in this prequel prequel.

Better get a damn good actor to play Lector in his adolescent days. Other wise I pass on this greatly. Hannibal (the movie) wasn't very good. But I just loved Red Dragon. So I dunno, if I'm all for this idea or not. Im leaning more towards the just let it go Dino side.

I must confess I've never seen any of these silly movies. Which of the three is/are worth watching?

Hannibal is the worst one, but even that's worth watching for its few memorable scenes. The Silence of the Lambs is a masterpiece (Hopkins is chilling in it), and Red Dragon is a solid thriller.

As for this new prequel, Hannibal has to be played by a really good young actor (Ed Norton would be fantastic as the 25 yr old Lecter, but I guess after his cop role in Red Dragon, he's off the list), and I hope it doesnt shy away from the horrors, like the way the movie Hannibal screwed with the novels ending.

They should remake Hannibal and follow the fucking book!.

It covers stuff from when he was younger.

and no the idea sicken's me, they showed what a fuck up they make when they dont follow Harris's books with the movie Hannibal.

Not to outdo my son, but (true story) Sir Anthony Hopkins, is currently penning the Screen Play to a 4th installment of Him playing Hannibal Lector and both Original Director Jonathan Demme and co-Star Jodie Foster has both expressed to reprise their duties, once Hopkins finishes the script.

Hopkins has went on to say, Hannibal was not one of the better adaptations, and he will redeem it with his script, that won both him, Foster, and Demme oscars.
