The Wicker Man.......remake.
I was just reading on good ole IMDB that Hollywood is planning a remake of the classic horror film The Wicker Man, starring none other than Nic Cage. It also mentions female leads being developed suited for Angelina Jolie or Winona Ryder.
GIVE ME A BREAK!
There is no way this will be good. The original had a decent cop storyline and a surreal ending, made good only by the acting genius of the guy who plays the cop (the actor's name is on the tip of my tongue) and Christopher Lee.
You wanna remake something for the better? How about redoing the absolute "horror" trash the u.s. churned out for the last 2 decades (yes I know there's exceptions), but leave the classics ALONE.
Am I the only one who thinks we should nuke Hollywood?
Hollywood remakes are usually shite
just look at The italian job

Hollywood couldnt make a decent remake if it tryed, ocasionally one breaks the mould, but it never lasts.
*bangs head against keyboard*
can't ANYONE write a fuckin screenplay anymore ? jeez....

I really hate Hollywood schmuks. Seriously, please, movie execs, GO FUCKING DIE.

Is it me or is Nick Cage up for every role in Hollywood these days
Superman
Ghost Rider
Wicker Man
Dead to Rights
National Treasure
and the list goes on and on

maybe cos nic cage is pretty good, and does pull in the audiences.
as for me, never seen the origianl, so a remake wouldnt bother me, same with gone in 60 seconds- i never saw the original, but now its always on sky, and i have to admit the final car chase in the original is much better, even if the film dont look as plush so i can understand ur annoyance at remakes.
