DVD Author

does any one know a good dvd author program other then TMPGenc because my problem is this
i use dvdpatcher to put my svcd's onto dvd and on some films TMPGenc says it has to encode the audio which can cause sync problems so is there a better dvd author program out there thats not so picky or is there a way to fool TMPGenc so it will not encode the audio.

ps not sure if this will result in a double post but i can not find my 1st

DVDLab works great, I drop my svcds in there all the time. It will have to re-encode the audio if it is not at 48kHz, but it won't cause anything to be out of sync.

tryed dvdlab keep getting errors i might look into it more

Read the errors! DVDLab will give you two different kinds of error msgs...one is just telling you that its not a dvd compliant stream (you get this when trying to import an svcd encoded stream). This error has the "spectacles" icon which means you can ignore it(generally if you have a dvd player made in the last couple years and plays svcds itll play svcds from dvd). When you try to import an svcd compliant audio stream(44100) itll give you the "hand" icon which means you cant ignore it. In the audio case itll ask if you want to run the audio transcoder. Ive found the built in audio transcoder is both slow and finicky. When i put svcds on a dvd without rencoding ill demux em first and convert the audio with bsweet. Its much faster and you can use batch encoding that DVDLab doesnt have.
So look closer at the errors...if its giving you an error on the video stream that says you cannot ignore it, then your streams arent svcd compliant(usually frame size or br related) .
