Tv Svideo Out

I am having some problems on my Radeon 9000 mobile svideo out. When i hook it up directly to my tv, the picture flickers. Well, its hard to describe but it looks like the picture is staying in place but almost like the same picture is floating over it and moving to the side then back to the original image. I have played with alot of the settings on the tv and on the laptop.

Sounds like a synch issue, check your PAL/NTSC (regional) settings in the driver.

How long is your S-Video cord? I used to have one that went from one side of my house to the other, and it created a little flicker too, not enough to bother me that much though.

well my cord is a fine length and very well made. NS, if it was a pal/nstc issue then the flicker would probably be so bad i couldnt see a pic. This flicker is much less slighter than that, but it still is extremely annoying

It sounds like ghosting, possibly caused by using a cable with the wrong impedance.

I used to get a bad pic with an Svideo cable, so I sent a composite feed down it instead which was much better. Can only do this on tools like TVTool tho, can't do it with drivers.
