Foreign bands.

Ever heard of/listened to 'I Killed the Prom Queen', 'Bring Me the Horizon', 'Is Grace Enough'? Amazing bands if you're into (I hate genres, but they have to be categorized) metal/hardcore/screamo. Check them out, they're worth a listen.

in germany my picks were:

Die Artze
Jan Delay
D Flame
Fettes Brot

blink 182ish punk, a little more tropical than sublime, gangsta rap, and a little like uncle kracker, respectively

all band names have been misspelled.

for most memorable songs:

die artze's "machmal haben fraun," though it isn't indicative of the rest of their stuff, it has an amazing video and the song is about how men that like to beat women just want to be beaten themselves. couldn't find the video, but here's "manner sind schwein" or "men are pigs."

Jan Delay's "ich mochte nicht, dass ihr meine lieder singt" or "I don't want you to sing my songs"... traditional ska upbeats.

D Flame, "Sorry" is pretty damned good, if you like gangsta rap, don't know who in america i could compare it to.

and Fettes Brot does a cover of "The Joker" that rocks, HERE is a clip that has it at the end.

IKTPQ are ok, but Bring Me The Horizon should've been drowned at birth. Untalent fashion rems who I've had to watch twice now, with a crowd full of people not giving a fuck each time. Worst band in the country (with Enter Shikari being my new favourite runners up, saw them at a house party a few years ago and was insanely unimpressed.)
