Man, I love a good western and this is exactly what I needed. Its not a western per se because it takes place post Civil War, but damn if it wasn't a great movie. Great acting/actors and visuals. If you like the Guy Pierce flick, the Proposition or just like westernish movies at all, this is definitely a movie to watch.

ummm olddirtyogre, there was a west and cowboys, waaaayyyyyyyy after the Civil War was done. Just because the industrial age started doesnt mean all the cowboys died.

I think he was talking about what most people think "Westerns" they mean around 1870 to 1890ish...

Where as post Civil War was a few decades earlier than that time period.

So 1870-1890 is post civil war, and only 4 years after.
