Stop upload speed

Heres the story. My roommate is a dumbfuck and uses torrents (god i hope he gets sued...) and leaves the upload speed on full. When I run "bandwidth monitor" free tool and I can see the bandwidth used on the network. Question is, is there any tool that can limit or disable his network upload speed? Any help is appreiciated!

it'd probably be easier to limit it within thw torrent client itself.

also, you don't hafta lie, you don't have any friends....its you.

Yep, most Torrent clients allow you to cap the upload bandwidth (such as uTorrent). You can also install an application called NetLimiter and some routers allow you to throttle certain ports...

... So unless your question should have included the words "without him knowing" the answer is yes.

If you have a Linksys (WRT) router and use open source firmware I think you can set a limit for his port or something.

Ya I wanted to make it "without him knowing" If there is a way to make it sneaky I would like to do it that way. I should have made the question more clear. I could always just walk into his room and tell him, but id rather do it sneaky, more fun for me. I know you can limit the speed in the torrents and all that, but I wanna do it James Bond style.

Anyway, I taught him how to use newsgroups. Figured its easier then spending hours messing with ports and OSS firmware.
