What is so wrong with...

... Nero? I know. I'm probably setting myself up for some MAJOR shit here, but I really can't seem to find much fault with it. It seems to work well for me, and has a few more custom options than ConvertXtoDVD (which I also use often). The general opinion 'round here is, however that Nero is shit. Can I get some technical reasons why? I do expect to get some flack also... but a few answers would be nice.
... and out come the wolves.

ConvertXtoDVD is ofcourse faster and the quality is better (atleast for me)

My main issue with Nero was it's size and loading time but whenever I did try and convert xvid to dvd with it, it would cunt-up the encode, syncs would be off and it would generally arse-it-up. ConvertXtoDVD isn't *that* great but it tends to get the sync right and it's piss easy to use (including adding subs and stuff like that).

Nowadays Nero might be capable of doing an awesome job but past experience has taught me to avoid it... In much the same way that I'd rather be raped by angry TB-infected badgers than purchase electricity or gas off NPower again

Do you have the latest version ?

Extract the movie to the folder with the subs in , then open the movie in vso and they will add automatically if theres more then one language select the one you want.

Thats about it !

::back on topic::

I find nero crappy because its more complicated then vso and when ive used it ive had sync issues and poor results , i hav'nt used it in a while though maybe the updates are better , i just cant be arsed to try.

Vso is just much more practical.

Nero 7 ultra with express 4 is just fine. Not sure if nero comes with its own codec's but the only codec i installed was DivX Pro 6.4.....have yet to have a single sync issue with 100's of dvd's burned
